"I mean we could go to the beach, get some ice cream, or we could go on a dinner date tonight." Carter goes on.
Because I was still getting used to walking, Carter and I decided it would be best if we walk back home instead of driving.
It was a good idea, it was such a beautiful day today. The sun above me was scorching as the air kissed my body. The birds singing and flying and the sounds of little children laughing from a near day care that has the delightful smell of fresh cookies.
Today is perfect, it's as if God had put everything in place to look its finest.
"Bebe," The sweet voice calls me back to earth as his chest erupts in a chuckle. His grasp on my hand tighents as he brings my hand to his lips, placing a delicate kiss on the back of my hand.
He looks down at me and runs his hand through his brown locks of curls before smiling at me.
Carter smiling was the most beautiful thing, he had been doing it a lot latley and if I'm being honest I really wasn't complaining. Carter brings a new vibe to me, it wasn't dark anymore but more animated and optimistic.
"Did you hear what I said, my love?" He says softly and I close my eyes, taking a deep breath in and out.
"Yes baby, I think a fancy dinner will do. I want to dress up tonight." I say and he kisses my check.
"Fancy dinner it is then. I'll pick you up at eight o'clock." We suddenly come to a stop and I take note of my surroundings, we're already at Penny's house.
I frown not wanting to say goodbye to Carter, I barely see him anymore so its like I have to cherish every moment we spend together.
"I can't wait to see what you're going to wear tonight." He says as we walk to the door. He hugs me and I close my eyes.
Everything seems a little too perfect. Something bad was going to happen, I could feel it.
"Bye, Carter." I give him a kiss on the check.

"You're just over thinking, babe." Penny says as she does my hair. I had told her about the bad feeling I was getting and she brushed it off assuming that it was just my nervous getting to me, she was probably right.
"Stop stressing, Carter should be here any moment now."

She had done my hair into jumbo box braids and big hoop earings, my make up was perfect and my lips a deep dark red.
"Mommy, Carter is here!" Xylon comes rushing into the room and he stares at me.
"What do you think baby? Does mommy look good?" Xylon nods immediately.
"You look very pretty mommy." He says and Penny makes an "aw" face.
"Xylon really makes me want to have children." He picks Xylon up and I take my hand bag.
"We'll meet you downstairs with Carter." She says taking Xylon out the room. I examine myself one last time before convincing myself that this was going to be a good night.
I walk slowly down the stairs and I quickly find Carter meeting his gaze. I smile and mentally compliment his outfit.
He wears gray dress pants that were wrapped in a black belt, with a black turtle neck. His expensive watch rests on his wrist and a few rings on his fingers.
He smiles and offeres me his hand. He kisses the back of it and I get butterflies.
I feel like a teenager who's falling in love for the first time. I look into his eyes and I immediately want to take him up to the bedroom. Not a word has been uttered but we both know what we want to do to each other through reading our eyes.
"Neveah Evelyn King... You look beautiful, breath-taking and stunning." He says and gives me a kiss which I return.
"You look very handsome, Mr Rodriguez."
"Well then, Miss King are you ready for the night to begin?" He says and nod giving him a big smile.
"You can go to the car, I'll be out in a second." He nods and leaves the house, I turn back to Thomas sitting on the couch changing Channels with a bored expression.
"Penny, I need you to look after Xylon for me. What ever happens just make sure that Xylon is okay." I say and she nods.
"Girl, you didn't even have to ask. Enjoy your night." I nod and walk to the door and Carter is outside patiently waiting outside his matte black lamborghini aventador

He opens the door for me and I hear Penny shouting from the door, "Wear a condom!" I give Carter an apologetic look and only chuckles.
"You ready, bebe?" Carter says once he gets on the drivers seat.
"I am." I smile.
