*Cams P.O.V*
Luke walked out of the lockeroom, carrying only his goggles. His face held an emotion I couldn't quite place.
"What's the matter?" I asked my voice echoing through the pool deck.
Luke shook his head and and put on his goggles.
"In short terms, Kennedy told me to be nice or she'll slit my throat." He said with a small uneasy smirk.
I snorted at the comment and started laughing.
"Oh come on Luke she was joking... plus with our agreement there should be no reason for her to slit your throat." I said trying reason with him.
I watched as Luke shake his head before running toward the edge of the pool and back flipping in. Everything in me panic'd. After years of me and Kennedy lifegaurding over the summer, we had seen quite a few kids get injured that way. I swam over to Luke as he breached from the water, shaking his head like a wet dog.
"Luke don't you dare do that again!" I shouted at him.
"What? The back flip?" He asked pointing toward the deck where had had jumped off.
"Yes the back flip! I've seen people do that, except they slip and hit their heads on the deck cracking their skulls open!" I said explaining why, it scared me so much.
"Relax Cam I've been doing that for ages, I'm fine. Now, let's work on some fly, shall we?" Luke said ignoring my warning and making his way to the wall getting started.
"Let's just swim some 25 Flys and I'll watch you." Luke said starting the training.
I shook my head, and pushing off of the wall, feeling the water glide past my legs. The 25 felt like a piece of cake when I touched the wall. I looked over at Luke as I finished, to see him nodding his head.
"Good, you're hands aren't dragging any more so that's good. But your chest isn't pressing, you have no body moment."
I looked at him slightly confused, not understanding how I could have no movement. He must have read my facial expressions because he continued...
"You're stiff Westphal. You aren't pressing your T-zone when you swim." Luke finished.
"Alright." I said pushing off and swimming another 25 really focusing on really pressing my T-zone.
When I came up, I was slightly out of breath. I was putting a lot of effort into these 25s even though I had just finished practice. I looked over to Luke who shook his head.
"No, you really have to press into it, I can tell you're trying but its not enough." He said walking through the water toward me.
"How do I tell if it's enough?" I asked, I had thought what I was doing was enough effort.
"Here, lay face down on the surface of the water. Hands by your side, when I tap you take a dolphin kick." Luke said.
I looked at him a bit unsure but complied anyways. I put my face down in the water and let my body float at the surface. I felt one of Luke's hands press on my back and another wrap around my waist. He tapped my shoulder blade, and I took a dolphin kick Luke guiding me through the motion. I stood up in the water and looked at Luke.
"Did you feel how far I pressed your chest down?" He asked.
I shook my head yes and shook some water out of my ears at the same time.
"Alright, then let's do one more 25 to get to the blocks then let's work on some starts into a butterfly kick." Luke said.
I nodded in understanding and pushed off of the wall. Swimming fly in a way I had never swam it before. My body glided through the water, Instead of the usual stoppage I experienced while taking a breath, I kept moving forward. Touching the wall I felt like a whole different swimmer.
