10- He is your childhood friend

"*knock knock*"

Mara looked up at the door lazily. "It is time to go to client lunch with Mr. Noah Flynn" Kylo reminded, the young woman nodded in understatement. "Let's go" she sighed and got up from the swivel chair. Her steps directed to the outside of the office.

Kylo opened the door for her, he might dislike the young woman but he never treated the young woman like others did. He treated her like a real boss. So whenever he wants, he could use the young woman as a shield and destroy the company easily.

"I want to see useful and hardworking people in my company in three days" Mara spoke as she stepped into the elevator with Kylo behind her. She looked at the reflection of the man in mirror. "Yes, I understand" Kylo replied with the stone face, not showing any emotions like usual.

It was strange to see the young woman like that. But he did not question, he just remained silent and observed the young woman's behavior. Mara raised her eyebrow in amusement, that man did not question anything and just watched. He did not complain.

She wanted to keep him by her side all the time. That man was useful for her company. However that man had his own plan, he did not even care about others except his mother so there was no chance for Mara to keep him by her side.

She would not be able to do anything but watch him leave when the time came. "Miss Mara, we have arrived" the man's voice brought Mara back from spacing out. She quickly looked at the man and raised her eyebrows, asking for an explanation.

"We have arrived"

Kylo repeated, making Mara pressed her lips in realization. She stepped out of the elevator and squeezed her eyes, that was embarrassing for her. "The car is already outside" the man spoke, not even bother about what happened just now. "Mmm" the young woman replied.

She went into the car's back seat as Kylo closed the door for her then he went to the front seat. As he closed the door, the car drove off from the company, directing to the restaurant where the meeting would be held. After some minutes, they arrived to the restaurant.

Kylo went out of the car and opened the car door for his Boss. Mara thanked the man with a small smile. Suddenly, her eyes met the red colored Zenvo TSR-S car which was parked in front of her car. That car was the same one which she had seen at the restaurant before.

The one where she even thought the man in the car was trying to kidnap her Husky. She ignored it and turned around, walking into the restaurant with Kylo behind her. He looked like a knight who protected the royal family, at all cost. People stared at the young woman.

They hardly recognized the young woman because of the way she was wearing and the way she was walking with head up like a queen who owned the whole empire. Mara's fox eyes were searching for a man who named Noah Flynn. Thankfully, Kylo found the man quickly.

He told the young woman where the man was sitting, Mara's gaze fell onto the table where the two men were sitting side to side. She walked towards the table confidently, not seeing the future which was waiting for her. "Thank you for waiting me" she spoke with a usual smile.

The two men looked up at the voice owner. Both of them eyes widened in disbelief, could not even utter words to reply. They could not believe their own eyes. Mara raised her eyebrow with a confused smile, not knowing why the two men were staring at her with widened eyes.

She furrowed her brows.

"Is there something on my face?"

The two men quickly recovered from the shock. They stood up from the seats in hurry. "Umm it is fine. We are family after all" the man who was around sixty spoke. Mara frowned tightly in confusion. She blinked twice in confusion, trying to understand what was happening.
