"So you're telling me you went through all of this after you moved here one and a half years ago?", Isabel asked laughing and shook her head in disbelief.

We were sitting in a park nearby the university and enjoying our coffee after lunch.

In the past three weeks we grew quite close. It just happened that way and I wasn't complaining since we were a good study team.

At first I was sceptical because she seemed a little too nice but then I warmed up to her and appreciated that she was a good listener and a kind person in general.

So I decided to fill her in on my messed up love life.

"Yes, I know it's kind of crazy but most of the drama is my own fault. You know I always used to struggle with speaking my mind but I'm working on that", I told her with a smile, "you have to communicate to get what you want."

"Well I'm glad you are together now and hopefully happy", she said returning that smile.

"We are. It's just... there are a few things we haven't discussed yet and I'm scared...", I tried to explain but I didn't know how to put this feeling into words, "I can't exactly tell what I'm scared of, I guess it's just the uncertainty."

"You should definitely talk", she said patting my hand, "you'll regret if you don't do it and keep procrastinating."

"Hm, you're right", I said nodding slowly, "I'll talk to him tonight. Just to get it over with. I mean, we're a couple now and in a relationship you work things out by talking."

"That's right", she agreed smiling, "so I feel like I know everything about this lucky man. What was his name again?"

"Jungkook", I said and couldn't stop a stupid smile from curling up on my lips.

But my face fell when she looked at me surprised, or rather shocked.

"You mean Jeon Jungkook?", she asked making big eyes.

"Um, yea why?", I asked not sure if I really wanted to know.

"And your best friend is Soojung, right? The girl who's with Taehyung now?", she kept asking making me feel really uncomfortable.

"Yes, why? What's going on?", I asked trying not to freak out as she sucked in a sharp breath, "how do you know them?"

"I think we live in the same neighbourhood", she began explaining with a gloomy look in her eyes, "back in October when I went home from my ex-boyfriend's house, there was a party and now that I've come to know of your story, that must've been your birthday party."

"Why? What makes you so sure?", I asked dreading what she was going to say next.

"I remember it so clearly because when I walked down the street I saw a couple kissing on the sidewalk and I knew the two people kissing", she said looking at me with pity, "Y/N, those two were Jungkook and Soojung."

"No, you're lying", I said feeling my throat tying up, "you saw wrong."

"No, I swear it was them", she affirmed.

"How do you even know them? You must be mistaken", I asked clinging on to the last straw of hope.

"I know them since we went to primary school and high school together until I changed schools", she said, "it's crazy how small the world is."

"I can't believe this", I said as it slowly dawned upon me what this actually meant.

While I was busy searching for him and then taking care of Eun he was right outside my house kissing my best friend after he had just confessed to me.
