Layla

I woke up to my head pounding.

I opened my eyes and flinched back at the light.

After adjusting my eyes I groaned loudly and got out of bed.

I went to the bathroom and did my business before leaving to go to the kitchen to grab Tylenol.

I swallowed down the pills and closed my eyes.

The memories slowly came back to me and I nearly slapped myself for being so weak.

That's what I get for drinking.

It's like I don't have control of my feelings when I'm around him.

But I knew that I wouldn't let him back in that easy.

Even though my love for him hadn't changed.

I sighed and walked to my closet getting ready for the day.

Landon's words kept replying in my head throughout the whole day.

"Soon."

I was trying to figure out what he meant by that, but unfortunately got no where.

He seemed so distant and cold towards me but then his mood drastically changed when he saw me crying.

It was like he was being forced to act cold towards me.

The weekend came by much sooner than I expected.

Violet and Eliot went to visit there parents back in our small town outside of New York City.

So that left me to be alone in our dorms all weekend.

It was now Saturday morning and I decided to go for a morning walk to the college cafe down the road.

I walked down the corridors and began to put my AirPods into my ears.

Just as I was about to start my playlist I hear a low hushed voice coming from the hall to my left.

Out of pure curiosity I peeked my head around the wall only to be met with Andre and Landon.

Andre spoke to Landon quietly as Landon's back faced me.

"Oak park tomorrow, 8 pm." Landon says to Andre.

"Okay. I'll get the guys to tell Matteo." Andre says.

Landon nodded his head and ran a hand through his hair.

"You think it'll work?" Andre asks worriedly.

"It's been months now, we've earned his trust. It'll work." Landon says as he starts turning around.

I jump back and quietly move away from the corridor and step to the side where he couldn't see me.
