"And that's the last box," Kathy set down the last of Blake's belongings.

After leaving their fun trip in Mexicali, Blake put both her sisters numbers on mute. She really couldn't hear a lecture from them for what she did. However her and Artem have been communicating a lot, which was him mostly checking in on her so he could tell Nicole she was okay. Blake felt more broken than ever. Everything hurt and she struggled with how to handle it.

"Are you sure John is fine with me staying here?" Blake asked, referring to her stepdad.

Kathy placed a hand on her hip. "You really think I would marry a man who would deny my children a place to live?"

"No because you know better than to settle for less." Blake smiled at her mom.

"Exactly and that's the one thing I'm glad you got from me." Kathy said. "I have to run to the store for some groceries, do you want to come?"

She shook her head. "I'm gonna unpack and figure out my schedule for the week."

"Okay." Kathy gave Blake a big hug. "I know seeing your dad really hurt you. But I want you to know you have me, and if you want, we can talk about going to therapy. I love you my Frosted Blake's."

Blake groaned. "Mom I thought we left that in the early 2000s."

Kathy laughed, "I still think it's a cute nickname for you."

"Bye mother."

"I'll be back!" Kathy yelled as she left the room.

Blake looked at the bedroom, her mom had ordered brand new furniture for her daughters return. In all honesty, Kathy was so happy to have one of her kids back and take care of them. But she knew the most independent child was Blake, and getting her wall to come down was the biggest challenge they had yet to face.

As she finished putting her things away, Blake looked at her phone.

JJ Garcia: Hi baby sister, I normally wouldn't bug you about what happened with dad but Nicole and Brie are really worried. At least give them a quick text to let them know you're alright. How's moving in with mom? Call me when you get a chance please.

Blake sighed.

To: Nicole Garcia and Brie Orton:

I'm fine. Don't want to keep this going, please respect that. Don't want to talk about Mexicali anymore, I'm okay. Thanks.

Brie Orton: We're having a little get together with the family on Saturday. Mom and John are coming, please stop by? I still have some of your things. Love you.

Nicole Garcia: Blake I don't like the way we ended things at dads. Please come Saturday, we all want to see you. Let us know, love and miss you.

Hesitating to reply to the offer, the sound of the doorbell made Blake look up. She walked out of the room to the front of the house, curious as to who was at the door.

"I'm dreaming right?" Blake remarked. "No worse, it's a nightmare."

"Nice to see you too." Joe walked in.

"Sure, come right in." Blake sarcastically said. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I see the vulnerable act quickly dropped, that didn't last long." Joe stuck his hands in his pockets and leaned back.

"Okay cut the crap, why are you here?" She huffed.

Joe looked her up and down. "I just wanted to see if you were okay. Nicole texted me to ask if you were different at work."
