{Ash's POV}

Regret

It's the only thing I currently feel. I put her in danger. I could have prevented this, but stupid me though I was doing the right thing. I betrayed her, but I'm determined to make it right. At the mere sight of the grimy warehouse in front of me, I can feel the anger bubbling up. I have to push those feeling away right now, I'm doing this for her.

Reluctantly, I step out of my car and begin to walk towards the warehouse. As expected, the guards begin to surround me. One of them tackles me to the ground and restrains my hands.

"It's been a while eh? The boss wants to see you."

The guard stands up and yanks me up by the rope around my hands. He drags me into the broken down building and leads me to a dark, concrete room. The metallic smell of blood instantly invades my nose. I'm pushed down onto a metal chair. The guard ties my arms and legs to the chair. After ensuring it's secure, he leaves the room and I hear the click of the lock.

Soon enough, I hear foot steps approach the door and faint chatter. The lock is clicks and the door opens sending a flood of bright light in the room. When my eyes adjust, I see a tall, intimidating, man with brown hair and grey eyes staring at me.

"Ah, dear boy, it's been a while hasn't it?" He asks.

"Could have been longer." I reply dryly.

"Tsk Tsk, is that anyway to greet your father?" The man asks.

"Is this anyway to treat your son?" I gesture towards my restraints.

"Enough with the pleasantries." He waves me off. "Tell me son, why the sudden visit?"

"You know why." I state.

"The Karieo girl? I thought you would have given up trying to stop my plans by now." My father says.

"I'm not here to stop you, I'm here to help."

"Why should I believe you? Don't think I haven't seen you getting all buddy-buddy with her." My father replies.

"I recently came to a realization, you were right all along." His eyes light up at my statement, and I continue. "After what her brother did, I was in denial. Loosing my sister was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through and Aspen helped me through it. Now, she has betrayed me by going to live with the others and I didn't notice until now, just how clouded my judgement was. The only solution is the death of her brother, and the only way is through her."

My father ponders over what I said for a few minutes before stepping forward and putting his hand on my shoulder.

"That's my boy."

{Aspen's POV}

I think I'm about ready to commit a murder.

6 to be exact.

#1 on the hitlist is Caspian. I've been stuck in this 'private clinic' for a week! All because Caspian wont let me go back to his house. Dr. Maybell recommended a week of bed rest which I could have easily done back at the house, but Caspian doesn't trust me to stay in bed. Since my brothers are always busy, they cant watch me so he figured the doctors and nurses could babysit me. I wouldn't be so angry staying here if it were the doctors orders but THEY SAID I COULD GO THREE DAYS AGO! Caspian insisted I stay here longer 'just to make sure everything's okay'.
