Author's recommendation: I wrote all of Act 1 before writing this prequel. My recommendation for anyone reading is to pause this book and go read the prequel before continuing. As I am writing Act 2, I am taking influences from the prequel, and the relationships formed in it will be important going forward. It is, of course, up to you, but that would be my recommendation.
