As Prince Francis's figure disappeared on the horizon, Cedric took gently my arm and checked my wrist with curiosity and care.

"Does it no longer hurt?" He asked, glancing back and forth from my wrist to my eyes. His worried eyes of burning scarlet intensity.

"It is a little stiff, but is of no importance." I replied in an assured voice.

"Indeed that water was a wonder." Remarked Wolff, coming closer with his fluffy ears twitching in a cute way.

Even when he was older, the cuteness of his ears was still hard to resist. I had to remind myself that I was not permitted to pet them! Cedric smirked when he noticed my interest in Wolff's ears. When the wolf boy turned to him with a questioning look, Cedric pretended he hadn't just smiled, and turned to me again, this time in a more serious tone.

"Are you going to follow Francis's request?" He asked, with his arm now locked on mine, secured and with a strong grasp.

I considered for a moment. This could push the duke into turning the engagement candidacy in the trash, where it belonged. But the perpetrator had been the aide and not the fool itself, which meant if accused, the Great Duke of the North would just burn his employee. And in the end, wouldn't solve anything. It would only bring conflict and, in my case, animosity with a fox prince.

"Yes. I will." It was the only answer I gave as I didn't want to lose time explaining my reasoning.

Besides, I was sure the prick would take care of the awful piece of shit aide. I was confident that I wouldn't be seeing him again.

Cedric again smiled, warm and inviting.

"Miss Lulu, so where should we go? I confess, me and Wolff, were surprised when we got approached by your sister, Lady Jennifer, who told us of your intention in meeting us. Not less unexpected was the lack of directions. I am sure you were hoping Wolff would have detected your scent! You probably wanted to see his skills." He said laughing, while Wolff gave both of us an evil eye.

"But you found me!" I said, giving an apologetic smile.

"Yes, we followed the noise!" Now both boys turned to laugh and I gave them an evil eye myself. "Lulu, I  must continue to confess, that I am even more surprised by the fact that you can bite as hard as a half-beast. I never imagined that the muscle of the Sun empire would be a noble lady!" Cedric continued on his joke, happy and grinning at my expense.

"I can still bite other idiots..." I warned.

"Of course! I am sorry, Lady Lulu!" He said in mock defense before turning to pretend sadness. "However, I am sad, as I think Wolff is too since you have yet to ask us to touch his ears!" His aide started to blush in embarrassment and I almost wanted to pinch the royal troublemaker for being stupid.

Cedric laughed loud and clear, while his aide recovered. Wolff, with a smirk, then pretended his master was not there for a moment and focused on me.

"So where were you going Miss Lucreatia?" Asked the wolf boy with curiosity and his tail wagging. As he approached, he put his arm closer to me.

I took a moment to release myself from Cedric and take Wolff's arm instead. The Moon prince became shocked at this petty vengeance from me and his loyal aide.

"Your highness, please meet us at the Royal Library." I said at a surprised Cedric, with a wicked smile and some cheekiness. Then, I went off with Wolff, leaving a wide-mouthed Cedric behind. Both me and Wolff laughed all the way to the library, celebrating our small victory against the Moon Prince.

When we finally arrived at our destination, followed by an unsatisfied prince, I might add, we sat at the most discreet table we could find.

The building was wide and long, with tons of small corners that got surrounded by several tall bookshelves. Made of two or three floors, only the first had places to study. The rest were for the books only.
