third person's pov.
"haejin, baby, listen"
"listen? listen to your excuses? xiaojun what the hell. we just broke into a fight yesterday and now i see some random girl lying on OUR couch with you snuggling onto her" haejin yelled, tears rolling down her cheeks. it was a sight to see, her girlfriend kissing another woman's cheek on their coach inside their home.
"i wanted to be happy too. i wanted someone to give me affection when i'm sad and alone" xiaojun defended himself, making haejin scoff.
"what the fuck? do you hear yourself right now? did you really think that i was happy after our fight yesterday? did you think i was fucking partying and laughing and smiling and flirting? NO, xiaojun. i was crying, heavily crying, because of your infidelity and your betrayal. i have no reason to be happy when i just found out that the man that i loved the most loves someone else. i never felt you feel lonely, i always gave you company and affection. wasn't that enough for you? wasn't i enough for you?" she cried, she cried and cried because of how painful it was for her.
it ranged from xiaojun having another woman, to him not going after her when they fought, the news of her not receiving a donor, seeing xiaojun with someone on their couch, and now.. "i love you dejun, i really do but this is.."
"haejin, i love you" he said, whisper-like as his tears began sliding down his face as well.
"if you love me then what is she doing here? why is she here? our love story was supposed to be you and me, not you, me, and her. if you love me then you wouldn't have a hard time. yesterday, you had a choice. you had a choice to bring me back or bring her in. and you brought her in which means that you chose her. that's how easy it is xiaojun"
haejin took a deep breath before continuing, xiaojun tried to stop her from saying it but she finally made up her mind. "and now i think it's the time to close our book, our book has finished. it's time for you to write another story but with her as the lead story, i'll do the same too"
xiaojun cried, begging her to not let go of their relationship. he begged her to never let them go.
"good bye dejun, live a happy life and remember that i loved you and you loved me"
it was crazy how a five-year healthy relationship end just because of someone's infidelity and because of that, their relationship turned into a toxic one where they got hurt by each other.
