-A Silent Lily- (A BoTW Fanfic)

~'Chapter 15'~

The day has finally come. After weeks of preparation they all felt ready to take on Calamity Ganon himself. Link takes a deep breath as he looks up to see Ganon's mighty fort towering above, tall enough to prevent the sun's light to hit the small group standing by the mighty gates. Just inside the gates the grunts of tons of monsters can be heard. "Are you ready, Yunobo?" Zelda asks as she looks over at the goron standing right beside her and Link. Yunobo nods "I-I think my shield will be enough to protect us until we're safe fr-from these goblins within Ganon's chamber." He states and Zelda gives him a reassuring smile. "Then we got no time to loose, I suggest that Teba leads the way!" Sidon exclaims, giving the white Rito a supportive back pat. Teba gives Sidon a sharp glare before he quickly fixes his feathers and replies "I agree, I've scouted the castle from the sky and I am pretty sure I know an easy way to the top, where Ganon has his chamber.". 

Teba walks up to the gate, quickly followed by Zelda and Riju holding eachother's hand to not loose eachother in the mess within the gates. Link looks up at Sidon, who gives him a reassuring smile that's  just as bright as ever. "Let's show that shadow man who owns this land!" Sidon chuckles as he lovingly ruffles Link's hair. Link giggles softly before he and Sidon too walks up to the gate, staying right behind Zelda and Riju. Last stands Yunobo to assure that everyone stays protected. A orange orb surrounds the party, glowing softly with a warm light. "A-alright, the shield's ready. Let's go..!" Yunobo stutters from the back of the group and Teba without any hesitation kicks the castle gates open. "Huh. I assumed that they'd be locked, I guess Ganon's monsters are as unintelligent as I remember." Teba mutters before he walks off into the now screaming group of monsters waiting inside. The rest tag along quickly after him, Yunobo taking a grip on Link's bow to not drop behind. 

Link can't help but smile when he sees how the monster's weapons bounce off the shield as if they were nothing, and their frustrated squeals and groans only makes it more satisfying. Sidon does not seem to trust the security of the shield as much, as Link suddenly feels a tight grip on his hand. He looks over, noticing how Sidon has clasped Link's hand in his own, holding it firmly. Link smiles softly as he rubs his thumb over Sidon's knuckle to attempt and soothe him. Sidon flinches slightly, quickly looking over at Link. He's met with a small smile from the blonde hylian and he returns it in a way more awkward but just as genuine smile before he returns his focus on what's going on around them. Link notices how Sidon's tense grip slowly softens as they keep on holding hands as they walk. 

".. And we're here." Teba is the first one to break the silence after a while of walking through halls and huge ballrooms in the mighty fort. Yunobo lets down the shield, hands shaking from the amount of strength he had to use to keep the shield intact. Link looks up at the doors, they're rusty and malice is pouring out from underneath them. This is it. Inside this room is where Calamity Ganon resides. "Then... Let's go. For Hyrule." Zelda says as she strides up to the mighty door and grabs the handle to swing it open. The moment she touches it the door falls off it's hinges and lands inside the room with a mighty slam. A giant coccoon-like lump is hanging from the cieling, pulsating and moving just like the heart of a living creature would. Before any in the team gets the chance to make a remark on the disgusting imagery they are all looking at the coccoon bursts open, sending malice flowing out. Out of the coccoon falls a giant monster, his skin pink and black from pure malice, his beady eyes shining and his many limbs sprawled across the stony flooring. "It's him. C-calamity Ganon." Riju exclaims, trying to keep her shaky voice firm. Link takes out the master sword from his belt, staring down the giant monstrosity before him. 

Calamity Ganon makes his first attack by swinging a giant glowing axe attatched to his many limbs at the party. "Watch out!" Riju shouts as she grabs a steady grip of Champion Urbosa's sword and summons a bolt of lightning, striking the axe and making Ganon stumble back slightly by the shock. Link takes Ganon's temporary unsteadyness as a chance to get a few hits in, running forward and managing to slice off the limb wielding the axe. Malice bursts from the gaping wound where Ganon's limb used to be, staining Link's face and clothes. Ganon shrieks as he flails around the other weapons attached to some of his remaining limbs, trying to get a hit on Link. Link manages to parry and avoid the hits fairly well until the heel of his shoe gets stuck in a crack in the ancient floor, sending him falling onto his back. "Link!" Zelda screams out as she summons a beam of light, sending it flying to blind the beast for even a second. Teba's quick to lift off the ground and grab Link in his claws, swooping him off the ground and avoiding Ganon's blind attacks. 

Link barely manages to land on his feet before he hears a pained scream. His ears perk as he darts his eyes over to the source of the scream, seeing Yunobo who just managed to throw a rock in Ganon's eye to blind him permanently now having a glowing spear buried in his chest. "I'll take care of him, you take Ganon down!" Sidon says as he rushes over to Yunobo. Link sees Ganon following Sidon with his remaining eye, fear striking him as he sees the mighty beast prepare to impale Sidon. Link quickly whips up his bow, sending an arrow straight into the jaw of Ganon. 'That's it, look at me.' Link thinks to himself as Ganon turns over to look at Link, taking his focus off Sidon and Yunobo.

 "He's getting weak!" Riju calls out as she creates a big gash in Ganon's side, staining the floors with all the more malice. Ganon's body shakes and shivers as cracks form allover his skin, showing how all the hits are taking a toll on him. A spot that Link did not notice before opens up right in Ganon's chest, shining a bright yellow like a miniature sun. "I found his weak spot." Link murmurs to Zelda before he takes hold of his sword once more and charges towards the beast. His bruised face is twisted with anger and he completely ignores Zelda's desperate calls for him. This ends now. He've had enough with the fear that Calamity Ganon is causing not only him, but the entire land. Ganon tries to hit him with the limbs he got left, simply offering Link a way to reach the glowing part of his chest by the small hylian using them to run along his spider-like legs. Quickly Link reaches a perfect spot for him to jab his sword into Ganon's chest, which is just what he does. He takes a strong grip on his sword and thrusts it into the glowing crack, recieving an agonizing screech from the mighty monster. Ganon's flailing limbs who are slowly starting to crumble and wither manages to hit Link in the stomach, sending him flying off the leg he once stood on. Link hits the ground with a thud but unsteadily gets back up, barely feeling the pain of the torn up skin on his stomach due to the adrenaline. He watches Calamity Ganon flail and wail in despair as all the malice around them retreats back into his crumbling body, ending it all off with an explosion of pink light. 

Everything goes silent. 

Sidon is the first one to reach Link where he's standing, panting and bloody. "We... You did it, he's dead..!" Sidon exclaims, joy shining through his tired voice. After Sidon comes Zelda, followed by Riju, Teba and Yunobo. The entire team stands before the small remains of malice and dust that were once Calamity Ganon. All that's left is the master sword, jabbed into the stone ground. Link feels a sudden sense of dizzyness hit him as he stumbles where he's standing. He looks down at his stomach, seeing the torn fabric that's now stained by his own blood. The gash was bigger than he first anticipated, and the small pool of blood forming at his feet proves it even more. Sidon quickly takes notice "He's bleeding!" He exclaims in worry. Link feels his legs getting weaker and the world around him spinning, he can't keep himself up anymore. He stumbles and falls into Sidon, who catches him quickly in his arms. "Y-you'll be alright just lay still, this is nothing my healing can't fix" Sidon reassures him as he kneels down to let Link's weak body lay on the stone floor. Link feels his eyelids going heavy and the last thing he feels before the world goes dark is the soothing feeling of Sidon's healing powers on his open wound.  

He did it.
