the taste of you on my lips is sour
every poisonous word harsh on my skin
how can i learn the meaning of trust
when you've ruined every single plan
all the steps i took you pushed me back
until my own memory couldn't be trusted
your victory has been clearly stated
though i couldn't be all you needed
the satisfaction you gained can't be enough
when envy seeps through my own bones
remember me as you walk down the row
because i still wish you all the best
