Chapter 47

After explaining everything to our friends and my brother, let's jusy say they needed time to actually let sink in.

"I can't believe this is happening, I mean, they always acted like a couple but I never thought they'd actually admit it to each other, and to add to the shock, Ethan confessed first, how is any of this possible? Is this some kind of alternate reality? Did I wake up and somehow shift to another world?"
Corey kept mumbling words under his breath, his voice barely above a whisper while Sean looked at him lovingly.

"Your eyes will bulge out of your sockets like that" I remarked, staring at him through the mirror.

Sean just clicked his tongue and scowled at me, cursing at me for ruining his view.

Everyone who was too busy taking in the news looked at us, Corey being the most confused of them all.

I stayed quiet for the rest of the drive back home, dropped everyone off at their houses and then took Sean to a small hotel because he didn't know how he could face our parents after his disappearance.

It was just me and Ethan in the car when he suddenly leaned his head and placed it on my shoulder.

I blushed at his sudden act of affection tried to focus on the road when my phone suddenly went off indicating I had just received a message.

"Hey Ethan can you check who texted me, I'm driving" I said, eyes glued on the road.

He groaned and got up getting my phone and sliding the screen up.

"What's your password?" he asked, his voice a little rough which made it seem like he was trying to fall asleep before I asked him to get my phone.

"My password?" I said, frowning a bit.

"You don't know what your password is?" he asked me in disbelief.

"No no of course I do, I have a photographic memory, remember?" I replied, laughing awkwardly.

"Then what is it?" he asked again, urging me to continue.

I hesitated for a moment, debating whether to tell him or not.

"It's your birthday"

Ethan seemed stunned my words, he looked at me like I had grown four heads and seven arms.

He slightly blushed and started laughing, wiping a tear away from the corner of his eye.

My cheeks were a deep shade of red and I felt like face was burning. I tried my best to focus on driving hut I couldn't help but steal a few glances at Ethan who was still laughing and clenching his sides.

"Since when?" he asked in between laughs.

"Since the day I got a phone" I replied, extremely embarrassed.

"Didn't you lose your memories?"

"Yeah, I didn't know what the date meant I just found it scribbled on a small notebook of mine and decided to set it as my password since it would be hard to guess. It still felt important for some reason I couldn't understand why at the time" I explained.

I quickly looked at him when we reached a red light and was met with Ethan's loving gaze, a small genuine smile on his face.

I whipped my head back as fast as I could as heat rushed to my face once again.

Maybe the fact that Ethan was my boyfriend now made every single thing he did affect me ten times more but I felt like I couldn't calm down as long as he was around.

"The message! You didn't check the message!" I said, suddenly remembering the reason I was in this situation as I started the car once the light was green.

"Oh, right" Ethan mumbled under his breath.

"It's just your parents saying they are on a business trip and that they won't be back for a few months, they apologized and said they'll try and call you everyday and be there for you if you need anything" he continued.

"Oh, okay" was all I said.

Ethan stared at me weirdly, concern painted on his face.

"Will you be okay on your own?" he asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I replied, obviously confused.

"Cause you'll be alone for a few months" he pointed out in a matter-of-factly tone but I didn't miss the worry laced with his voice.

"I'm used to it by now, my parents are very busy business owners and they travel a lot. I know they love me and they love their job and I'm happy with the way things are, I don't mind being alone and it's not really 'sad' as some people make it out to be. I talk to them every single day and that alone makes me feel complete" I said, a smile on face.

"If you ever feel lonely just call me and I'll be there, actually, do you want me to keep you company today?" he asked.

"Nope, your family wants to spend time with you I already had to put up with you for a whole month, get off my back" I said playfully.

Ethan slicked his tongue, something he did quite often lately and looked out the window.

"Oh can I see something on your phone? Mine is dead" he suddenly asked.

"Sure" I agreed not thinking much of it.

I focused on the road all the way back to Ethan's house, once we arrived, Ethan pulled me in and hugged me as tightly as humanly possible, making my back crack. Somehow, this also became a habit of ours.

"I'll see you tomorrow at school" he whispered in my ear, causing a tingling sensation to go through it.

Suddenly, the front door opened and Ethan's sister ran to us with her arms extended.

Ethan rolled his eyes and spread his arms wide, ready to receive his sister but she dodged him and caught me in a close hug, crying about how much she missed me.

"Get off my girlfriend" Ethan gritted out.

"Nope, little Jane is with me now" she replied, completely unfazed by the new piece of information she was given.

"Are you trying to steal her?" he asked menacingly.

"I'm better looking than you are, obviously she'd break up with you and be with me" she mocked.

"Too bad she's straight, now get off"

Ethan practically shoved her off of me while I blushed in embarassment.

"Just fuck off" he continued.

"Language!" I almost yelled at him.

He just smirked at me and walked to the door, putting his hand up as a way of signaling goodbye while dragging his suitcases with him.

I waved at him even though he couldn't see me, I got into the car and drove home, showering and throwing myself on the comfortable bed, ready to drift to sleep as the tiredness from the travel hit me.

What do you guys think of this chapter? Also my finals are tomorrow but here I am writing new chapters on my book lol.
I'm not gonna stress about it much longer and omg the book is slowly ending and I feel like I'm gonna cry once I upload the last chapter ahhh.
Anyways, if there are any spelling mistakes or something please let me know so I can correct them!
