Two

**Phoenix's POV**

I woke up in a ship maybe? With no memory on how I got here. I'm strapped in a chair with a seat belt on me.

I look around and I see many kids around me. Some I recognize from Pikes class. The class were a man taught several inmate teens 'how to survive on the ground'. No one really learned anything from it other than how fucking crazy Pike, the teacher is.

My thoughts get interrupted by a unfamiliar voice next to me. 

"Hey, do you have any idea what we're doing here?"

I look over and I see a pretty girl next to me she has long black hair with blue eyes. She has the same wristband as me. I'm guessing they gave it to all of us.

"We're being sent to the ground. They said this is our second chance. But if you ask me this is their way of polity saying we're their Ginny pigs." I say as the girl next to me let's put a small laugh.

"Sent to the ground ha, at least we're not that useless." The dark haired girl said.

"Ha I like you already, we're gonna be good friends." I said smiling.

"Same here. I'm Octavia."

"Octavia like the daughter of Octavius?"

"Ya, you know Greek mythology?" Octavia says surprised. 

"Ha more like obsessed. While I was locked up for more than half of my life reading about Greek mythology cured my boredom."

"My brother loves reading about it to. But I just like hearing about it." Octavia says as I laugh.

Brother? Oh she must be the girl under the floor. God I've heard a lot about her from Asher. I decided not to bring up any of that to her I don't think she would like to be described by 'the girl under the floor'.

"Oh and I'm Phoenix, Phoenix Grey."

"Octavia Blake."

Our conversation was cut off short, by a loud bang and a few peoples screams.

I felt Octavias hand reach for mine. I felt safe when she held my hand. Like I could trust her with anything and everything.

"What was that" Octavia says.

"I don't know do I look like I rockets scientist!" I said sarcastically not really caring about what just happened.

Suddenly I look up and see a tv screen light up with a dark skinned man with a clean shave I'm guessing that's channeler Jaha by how many people are booing at him.

"Prisoners of The Ark, hear me now. You've been given a second chance, and as your Chancellor, it is my hope that you see this as not just a chance for you, but a chance for all of us, indeed for mankind itself. We have no idea what is waiting for you down there. If the odds of survival were better, we would've sent others. Frankly, we're sending you because your crimes have made you expendable."

"Your dads a dick wells." A male delinquent shouts out. Which makes me and Octavia let out a small laugh.

"Those crimes will be forgiven, your records wiped clean. The drop site has been chosen carefully. Before the last war, Mount Weather was a military base built within a mountain. It was to be stocked with enough non-perishables to sustain three hundred people for up to two years. Mount Weather is life. You must locate those supplies immediately. Your one responsibility is stay alive."
