Sick day (one shot)

A/N: no smut in this one, but it's also not fluff. It's more like Harry being tired and Draco acting like a child so enjoy that 😃

Harry's POV

Today is just like any normal day, I get up at the ass crack of dawn and get ready for work. When I'm done Draco is awake and eating breakfast, I kiss him goodbye then I'm out the door.

But when I get home from work Draco is waiting for me at the door. Now this can mean one of two things. A. He is horny or B. He is sick.

Unfortunately when I look down I see no signs of horniness. That means Draco is sick.

Before he can even tell me he feels bad I walk to the kitchen and get out some medicine. I get him a glass of water to take the medicine with.

"Take this and wait for me on the couch okay love." I said.

He nodded weakly. I went upstairs and got dressed in something more comfortable. When I went back downstairs Draco was curled into a ball on the couch.

When Draco gets sick he often wants to be as small and out of the way as possible. He also wants to be all over me.

As soon as he saw me he got up and ran into my arms. He wrapped his arms and legs around me forcing me to pick him up.

I sighed knowing that I probably wasn't going to get a single minute of alone time. Draco whined into my neck.

"What's wrong baby?" I asked him.

He didn't answer instead whining louder. Draco was a lot like a toddler while he was sick. Except toddlers are a lot less cute.

I sat down on the couch with him on my lap.

"If you don't tell me what's wrong I can't help you." I said.

"Hungry." Draco responded.

"Have you eaten today?" I questioned.

He shook his head no.

"You know that's not healthy." I lectured.

(A/N: me who eats goldfish and nothing else for 3 days 🤠)

I got up with him and walked to the kitchen. I set him on the counter and made some soup. When I was done I moved him to the table and gave him a bowl.

He ate the soup like he hadn't eaten all day, oh wait; he hasn't.

"Are you better now?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Good, now let's go back to the couch and I can put on the sick movie." I said.

What is the sick movie you might ask. The sick movie is the ONLY show or movie Draco will watch when he is sick. What movie, I hear you asking. The movie is none other than, the little mermaid.

Draco LOVES the little mermaid, but only when he is sick. I tried to get him to watch it when he is feeling better and he gets bored and falls asleep.

But when he is sick, it's a whole other story. As soon as the movie ends it's getting put back on.

I remember when I first showed him it when he was sick. Oh how I regret that day.

We walk over to the couch and I turn on the little mermaid. I must say, it is really cute to see the look on Draco's face when the movie first starts. It almost makes me forget I can quote this movie word for word because I've had to watch it so much.

We watch and rewatch the little mermaid until it gets late.

"Come on Draco it's time for bed." I said.

But when I look down at him he is already asleep. I carry him to our bed and lay him down. I get in next to him and fall asleep hoping he isn't going to be sick tomorrow.

"Harry wake up, your going to be late." Draco whispered shaking me awake.

I open my eyes and the first thing I see is Draco. Wait, that's not right. I should be the one who gets up first.

I sit up and that's when I feel it.

I'm sick.

I groan and lay back down. Draco gets the message and lays back down with me.

"Sorry." I hear Draco whisper.

"It's okay, I didn't want to go to work anyways." I replied smiling.

We both fell back to sleep not caring about the many vibrations of my phone.
