"Thanks for...letting me spend the night here" she said to haechan as he scrolled through this phone
"Maybe I should've made you sleep on the park bench instead" he said, not meeting her eyes and there he was. The haechan she knew.
"Yeah....I will put you in an electric chair if anyone finds out about last night" she mumbled rolling her eyes, pulling her dress down awkwardly again as she saw the eyes of renjun and jaemin stare at her
"Wait! Before you go" jaemin said running up to her and stuffing a waffle into her mouth.
"Oh uh....Thank you.....wow this is.....really good" she said making him chuckle as she ran out the door. Walking across the street she headed towards Soyeon's house to get some clothes before heading home.
"Hey! Did you stay-" before jeno could even ask her anymore questions, Chaerin had run across his living room and up the stairs to Soyeon's bedroom.
"LEE SOYEON!" She shouted making Soyeon sit up in surprise from her
"What? What happened!? Who died?" She asked
"My fucking reputation that's who!" She said angrily throwing her phone onto the bed before laying down on it
"Wait what happened?" She asked
"Nothing...nothing happened" Chaerin said with a sigh, sitting up.
"I'm going to borrow your clothes" she said. Taking the blue mom Jean's and a yellow sweater that was placed over the arm of the chair.
"I shouldn't have worn this stupid dress showing my boobs"
"Okay hold on...that is practically a turtle neck. And why are you so worked up right now? Did you.....oh my god did you stay over somewhere? You have hickies on your neck!" Soyeon shouted
"Keep it down!" Chaerin hissed hoping that Jeno didn't hear that
"wait....no way... you and Jeno?" she asked with a gasp and Chaerin rolled her eyes
"no! i-......i dont know" she said and Soyeon snorted
"you....don't know the guy....you spent the night with?!" she asked
"yeah i just got super drunk and last thing i remember is going upstairs and then i woke up in some random bed and i left as soon as possible when i heard the shower turn off" Chaerin said making up a lie quickly
"damn....i need to bring a leash next time then" she said chuckling
"use my makeup and cover them up, jeno would flip if he saw that" Soyeon said and chaerin went over to the vanity table to use her concealer
"shut up, he doesn't like me" Chaerin argued and soyeon rolled her eyes
"so you're blind huh?" she asked making chaerin roll her eyes
"thanks for the clothes, and for fucking abandoning me last night. this wouldn't have happened if you didn't run away from me" she said and soyeon rolled ehr eyes with a smirk
"you should be thanking me babes, you look like you enjoyed it" soyeon said as chaerin walked out the door
"everything okay?" jeno asked from the living room as she rushed to the front door, startling her.
"uh...y-yeah...everything's fine" she said and he nodded slowly
"you need a ride home?" he asked and she sighed looking at him gratefully
"that would be amazing" she said and he chuckled, grabbing the keys to his car before following her out of the door and into his car, opening the passenger seat door for her before he slipped himself in to the dirver's seat.
"are you gonna be back in school from monday?" he asked and she nodded
"probably, the midterm preparations are starting next week" she said and he chuckled
"you'd ace those exams even if you didn't come to class" he said
"and that's on sexy brain syndrome" she said
"is that self diagnosis i'm sensing?" he asked with a smirk and she chuckled as they sat in silence, making small talk to avoid the awkwardness around them both while listening to the radio.
"thanks for the ride Jeno" she said unbuckling her seatbelt
"yeah no problem.....hey...if you're free some day...wanna get some coffee?" he asked and she looked at him nervously, struggling to find an answer for him
"right sorry...it's still a bit early since you and mark.....well, let me know if you wanna grab some food or something one day" he said and she smiled
"i will" she said stepping out of the car and waving goodbye to him as she watched him drive away before stepping into her house.
"where were you all night?" was the first thing she heard when she stepped into the house.
"uh...i was studying with...Soyeon. Jeno just dropped me off there" she said to her dad who was seated on the couch while typing something onto his computer
"just because Mark is in canada doesn't mean you can hang around boys alone. we don't want to give him the wrong idea" her dad said making her sigh
"actually....dad...me and mark decided to-"
"Chae! your room is horrendous! go upstairs and clean it before getting dressed for lunch. we need to meet the golf club president today. your father has some business there and he thought it was good we should go as a family" her mom said interrupting what she was going to say to her dad
"when did you guys get back from your business trip?" she asked
"late last night, but we're leaving sunday morning...you know us, business never sleeps and neither do we" her mom said pushing her up the stairs and she sighed, yet again her parents came back to korea for a business deal and not to see their daughter.
