Tsukishima's life was seemingly perfect- he had a job offer upon graduation, he was playing for a national team in the second division, he was still in contact with his best friend, and best of all, he had the perfect girlfriend of two years. He stared at the sight in front of him, pondering on this very question until he finally came up with an answer- it was him. Kuroo Tetsuro- 4th year at the University and annoyingly also a sports entertainment major. He always thought the raven haired man was annoying ever since the day you introduced him. And no matter how many times he continued to tell his hatred of him, you never understood, saying things like, "he's nothing but kind to BOTH me and you," and although Tsukishima had to admit this was true (although he never will aloud), there was always something that bothered him about Kuroo.
"Y/N," Tsukishima says calmly, approaching you from behind as you whip around.
"Ah! Kei!" you smile, giving him a warm hug. Tsukishima looks up, meeting Kuroo's smug and annoying face as the taller male waves a 'hello'. However, Tsukishima ignores him completely. "How was your day?"
"Not bad, Kuroo-san was just telling me about a department get together tonight."
"Ya coming?" Kuroo gestures towards the blonde. "It's open to everybody, not just us sports entertainment majors," he smiles, giving your arm a playful punch in which you respond with an equally warm smile.
"I don't know if I feel like drinking tonight."
"Understandable. Don't worry, you can trust your precious Y/N in my care then."
Tsukishima winces at the statement. "On the other hand, I'll be there." He wraps his around your your shoulder, turning you the other direction and begins walking. "Let's go, Yamaguchi is waiting for us at the dining hall."
"Always a pleasure!" Kuroo shouts from behind as Tsukishima drags you away, you doing your best to at least give a lame wave as a good bye.
"Kei, I know you don't particularly like Kuroo-san but could you at least try to be a little bit more subtle?"
Tsukishima rolls his eyes, trying to get the negative thoughts out of his mind. "Y/N, trust me on this, I know guys like him and he's definitely not just being nice to be nice."
You sigh in return, knowing this argument never actually progresses but the two of you just continue to repeat the same things over and over again. This time, you decide to take the high road and drop it as you're about to meet up with a mutual friend. Instead, you attempt to forget the last few minutes even happened and you take your boyfriend's hand happily and make your way to the dining hall.
"Y/N! Tsukki! You made it!" a familiar voice shouts as you and the blonde enter the vicinity.
"Could you please not call me that?" Tsukishima mutters, hardly loud enough for anyone to hear but you. You give his arm a light slap, telling him to mind his manners since you tend to know he doesn't give off the best first impressions.
"Kuroo-san!" you greet him. "Thanks for the invite."
"C'mon, you two are already a few drinks behind!"
