tonight's the party and the official end of the first week of senior year. I really don't wanna go to this party but I feel bad bailing all of a sudden. the girls want me to go so I realize that not all parties are the same and bad things don't always happen at them.
I was getting ready, doing my make up all nice and wearing my skin tight plain black dress. brett simmons always does the annual 'beginning of the year party' and 'end of the year party'. they're always so much fun when you're around the right people, that's how I met some of the people in my friend group.
but last years end of the year party was definitely one to remember apparently. I don't remember too much of what happened after the incident and I don't want to ever think or be reminded of that again. that's why I'm scared to go tonight, but I gotta suck it up and enjoy myself.
the girls arrived shortly after I was done getting ready so I said my goodbyes to my grandma and she replied with 'don't party too hard' causing me to giggle.
we got to the party and luna couldn't help but take a picture with me and post in on insta claiming I 'look too hot not to share'.

we walk in and all the guys are there already plus madison but I just ignore her presence.
and if you guys are wondering, no corbyn doesn't know about the past I have with madison. he looks so happy and seems to think she's this nice person and I don't want to take that from him. even if it means having to deal with not getting to be with him myself.
"come on girl, let's dance" alyssa says to me with a sympathetic look on her face.
I must've been staring and she noticed.
I do as she says and go dance with her and soon jack and daniel join us. alyssa actually didn't roll her eyes this time. she was even dancing with jack. maybe she's having too much fun to care or this is progress. either way I'm happy for jack, I can tell he likes her.
