8| The rest of the Regios

Today were are meeting the rest of the family, we apparently have 2 uncles, cousins, and a grandma

Helena had a brother, but she ran away from her home since her family didn't approve of her and Vince's relationship

I am a bit nervous

I think after being informed that we weren't actually abandoned but kidnapped by our father 'business' rivals, I slightly stoped feeling unwanted I can tell my twins felt the same

we were wanted

they didn't leave us

as much as it saddens me that I never knew the truth and had to leave in an abusing household, I always remember that if I didn't go through all of this I would have never met my hermanos, Ma and Pa, or the Hales

i may seem fun, carefree and laidback but it is my way of easing the pain

when you're in pain, everyone uses a different way to cope, some of them are healthy some of them aren't

some people choose drugs, alcohol, self-harm, numbness........

I have been snapped out of my thought by a knock on my door "come in "I yelled, the door flew open and Valerio and my twins entered my room "come to one Atlas they arrived " Val informed me as we followed him to the living room

I was wearing black pants, a Nike vintage red sweatshirt with a white polo underneath. Ares had classy/sexy black pants, paired with a white half unbuttoned shirt. As for Astraea, she was dressed in a short black dress that shows her shoulders and long legs paired with a red Air Force 1, white jewelry, and an oversized white denim jacket to cover her naked shoulders

the room that was filled with voices suddenly became silent as we stepped in, there were two old men that shared the same features as Vince so I am guessing they are his brothers, they instantly looked at their brothers searching for confirmation when he nodded their fave immediately light it up

"bambinos, I am your uncle Stefano and this is my wife, your aunt May, " one of the men said after hugging me and then pointing to the beautiful lady beside him that had a huge grin on her face, she too hugged me tightly "and this is your brothers-cousins Domenico 25, Nicolo 20 and Marcello 18 " he introduced his sons who smiled at us welcomely

"and I am uncle Mario this is my wife Selena "I was immediately engulfed in a hug by the woman, she gave me and my twins a warm motherly hug "those are our sons Luciano who is 24 , Massimo is 19 and little Adriano is 7 " he continued

Adriano got up from his brother's lap and ran toward Astraea"are you my sissy" he sheepishly asked "yes I am, my name is Astraea but you can call me Raea" she smiled softly at him while we all watched them in awe

Raea always had a big soft spot for children

after a while we all went to the dinner table, were the delicious-looking food was already served, i was just about to put a piece of chicken in my mouth when a voice boomed "were are my grandbabies " a feminine vice yelled

"Well that is your grandmother " Vince muttered, ah I was wondering where she was ! "oh my god is this really them," she asked as she entered the dining room

she looks young, like really young she looks like she is 45 when in reality she is probably 60. You can notice some of the features that she shares with my sister, like her long wavy black hair, the confidence was radiating from her. Well she was after all the ex mafia queen—

"my babies how much I missed you" she squealed her eyes tearing up as she bought us into her embrace and hold us closely

i felt oddly safe in her arms

"come on mom let them breathe and take a seat " Vince pushed her back off of us, she nods and sat next to me "so your parents said that your prodigies, " Uncle Stefano said looking proud "I wouldn't say that, they're being dramatic" Astraea said

she is always been so modest

"Astraea your literally a lawyer at fucking 17, " Hermes said smiling softly at her modesty "hey I will be 18 in a few months " she informed him while he chucked

"how school, " Domenico asked, changing the subject as he noticed Astraea's discomfort " it fine, we made some friends " I replied

Our new friends were cool, especially Heath I think I might have a tiny weeny little crush on him

I may have forgotten to mention that to the bios. Welp, I hope they aren't homophobic assholes

"So Astraea, any boys?" our aunts teased her while grandma smiled at this question. This conversation seemed to have bought all of our cousins' and uncles' attention. They turned to Raea waiting for an answer "I actually have a boyfriend " she responded

"what!" our cousins and uncles yelled in unison "oh my god that is so exciting " aunt May squealed "is he hot" Aunt Selena wondered, ignoring the fact that her husband was sitting right next to her " so when are we meeting him, " grandma asked

they start bombarding her with questions while the uncles, cousins, and even our brothers and Vince were glaring at the floors or ceiling not liking the idea of her with a boy

Ares, our Hemanos, Pa, and I are really protective of Astraea and when we learned she had a boyfriend, hell broke loose but then we calmed down. Thanks to Ma, and after a bit we start getting used to the idea we knew there wouldn't be a better man of her than Nicholas, he is so in love with her and would bring the world to her feet if she asked him to

But of course, we threatened him multiple times and we still do it every time we see him touching her like we might be okay with her being with him but there is no way in hell he is touching my baby sister inappropriately in front of me or at all

Dinner was good our aunts, uncles and brother cousins are very fun and kind .... our grandma, on the other hand, she is something else. God, that woman is blunt even worse than Thea and that is something trust me

i put on a pajama and slide in bed, I was tired and let the darkness consume me knowing my demons will probably come and hunt my sleep

nightmares are a bitch

they fucking play with your mind they make you believe things that aren't real

they manipulate you

they make you relive times that you just wanted to completely forget

I wish I could erase those memories but unfortunately is it's that easy

Those memories will always be in luggage that you will carry everywhere you go
