Landon

Her light footsteps warned me that she was near.

I watched her golden locks bounce down her back as she neared me.

Her gorgeous smile lit up the room.

"Hi, Landon." She says, blushing.

A small smile graced my lips as I took her hands in mine.

"Hello, Love." I say kissing her hand.

Tonight was the night I planned to propose to her.

I knew from the day I asked her to be mine, that she was going to be in my life forever.

And no one or no thing could change that.

I had asked Andre, Violet and Eliot to keep watch of the twins, tonight.

Layla and I had a day every week we would spend only us two.

It was our special night.

Either Violet, Eliot or Andre would come and look after our twins, to which we had named,

Arabella Malik, and Nicolo Malik.

I sat her down in her seat and I sat down in my own.

Her eyes lingered over the water as the yacht had started moving.

"It's so beautiful." She whispered, looking over the city that laid just in front of us.

Her eyes met with mine and I felt myself drown in them.

I pulled open the champagne and poured a glass for both of us.

"How come were all fancy tonight ?" She asks curiously.

I chuckle and sip my champagne, not answering her.

She eyed me before giving up and sipping her own glass.

"You look beautiful." I point out casually.

Her cheeks redden as she looks down at her hands.

"Thank you." She says quietly.

I stood up from my seat and held my hand out for her.

The soft classical music started playing in the background and I took this opportunity to dance with her.

She took my hand and I lead her to the railing.

The boat had stopped and we were now sitting right in front of New York City.

The whole city in full view as I took my hands to her waist.

Her arms came around my neck as we started to sway to the music.

She looked into my eyes and I looked into hers.

We stayed like this for what felt like hours.

She had then leaned her lips to my jaw, kissing it gently before moving away.

Sher moved towards the railing and looked up at the city.

Her eyes lit up with pure happiness and I felt my heart jolt.

"Layla." I call out to her.

She turns her head around before turning her full attention to me.

My heart began to stupidly beat out of my chest.

I stepped forward and looked into her eyes.

I took my hand and caressed her rosy cheek.

"I love you." I say.

"Your the only person that can do this." I say and place her hand on my fast-beating heart.

She looks up at me with innocent eyes.

"I only want you, for the rest of my life." I say taking a lock of hair behind her ear.

I get down on one knee and look up at her, licking my lips.

I took out the box from my pocket and opened it up.

Her big green eyes glistened as she realised what I was doing.

"Marry me, Layla?"

She bit her bottom lip as silent tears came down her glowing face.

"Yes." She whispered out as she kneeled with me and then embraced me In her arms.

I smiled and embraced her back.

Her lips met mine and I felt shocks run through me.

I moved my lips against her plush ones.

My hands caressed her waist and her own were wrapped around my neck.

Her touch sent invisible sparks up my veins.

Her tongue swiped my bottom lip but I didn't let her in.

I squeezed her waist and she pulled away.

Ignoring her needy eyes I grabbed her hand into mine.

She watched me take the ring out of the box and slide it onto her finger.

I kissed her soft palm and looked up at her.

She pecked my cheek before leaning her head against my chest.

"I love you, Landon." She whispers against my chest.

"I love you, Layla." I say back.
