the holiday cards will reach you late this year, cause i wasn't sure if you wanted to hear from me, the floor in your apartment is always covered in confetti from the weekend parties you host, you make people happy, you know?
you take the emptiness out of january, but you haven't caught up with your family in a while, your eyes are quivering under the sun, you want to remember that when you're burning, you're not the only one, to be honest, i've tried that too, but once the shadows leave, it's just you.
fear is asking, what will i do? the moon never dances in the clouds, it soars, winds of the east don't bother you and i anymore, what should i think of a midnight epiphany that knocks at my door? 4 AM, faith is whispering, you don't have to know it all yet, and we can search for answers till the cerise christmas card reaches your doorstep.
you are the awning of a wilderness, the one to let the slow hints of light through, you are the canopy of my rainforest, you know that, don't you? the moonshine dreams to touch the chain around your neck, that bench on the sidewalk near the park misses your slow footsteps, as do i, miss having you by my side, i think i'll come to give you the cerise christmas card myself next year just around this time.

A/N : this is the first part of the tale of a young boy, the graphic for this one is one of the first ones i made for this book, and i hope you enjoyed reading this.
contrast from the madwoman's story : -begins when the young boy is in his twenties and is reaching out to his first love whereas madwoman's story started when she was a child and had just lost a very dear friend, and she never had the chance of falling in love.
i'll be highlighting these differences along the way to show how it contrasts with the previous storyline.
