Going downstairs Jennie's parents are waiting at the bottom of them
"Let me take pictures!" Jennie's mom exclaimed ecstatically
We posed for pictures at Jennie's mom's request with her taking millions of photos for every pose
Jennie and I looked at each other and playfully rolled our eyes before Jennie said
"Mom that's enough you've probably nearly filled up most of the memory card"
"Most of not all" Jennie's mom remarked taking even more pictures
Jennie's dad chuckled in his deep laugh saying "Honey I think that's enough they just want to go to their prom"
"But-" Jennie's mom stated protesting then got interrupted
"No buts, now girls run while you still can!" He replied with a laugh
Jennie and I rushed out of the house quickly nearly falling over from laughing
"Your parents are great," I said through laughs
It's true though even after everything happened with Jessie they still made sure they are the best possible parents they can be always making sure that we're okay
We got to school pretty quickly seeing the decorations leading to the school hall which included some beautiful candles leading up the path
Although it did slightly worry me by being a fire hazard it looks great
Walking inside that part of the school there are balloons nearly everywhere with random bits of confetti covering the floor
"It looks kind of good," I remarked looking all around while entwining Jennie and I's hands
"Yeah" Jennie agreed turning to look at me
Even in the dim lighting with random colored lights being streamed around the room and cross us I can still see the little golden flecks in Jennie's beautiful brown eyes
We danced for a while which I didn't want but Jennie stated that there is no point going to prom if we don't at least have one dance
Jennie and I pull away once the song has finished which we're currently dancing to
"Lili, do you want to go somewhere?" Jennie asked movie a piece of her platinum hair behind her shoulder
"Sure, where?" I questioned curiously
"It's a surprise" she replied taking my hand with hers and pulling me out of the hall
Jennie leads me around some hallways before going to the stairwell
Not asking any questions I carry on moving along with her out hands still entwined
Getting to the top of the stairs we go through the small white door that leads to the roof
We look at the sunset then turn to each other with bright smiles mirrored on both our faces
"You're so amazing, I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have you as my girlfriend" I admit admiring my beautiful girlfriend
"So are you" she replied wrapping her arms around my neck
In return, I wrap my arms loosely around her waist
Looking into her eyes I think about how this all started
"Don't you find it funny?" I say randomly still half thinking to myself
"Find what funny?" Jennie asked with a brightly smile
"That this all started from you thinking I was looking at you weirdly" I respond grinning
"Or from this kiss under the bleachers" Jennie added
We chuckle in unison focusing on each other and nothing else
"I love you Lili" Jennie states once she's controlled her giggled
She leaned in tenderly placing her lips on mine kissing me softly
Instantly my lips react moving along with hers
At this moment I know that the future may not be great for us but at least we will always have each other
I know that I will always love Jennie and she will always love me
We are meant to be together after all
