I fell to the floor.

"Did you break a nose?", Tamara asked from behind the door.

Groaning, I lifted my head and winced after attempting to scrunch my aching nose. "Feels like it."

"Shame."

With a sigh, I sat upwards and made sure to securely strap my five inch heel first before standing. "Heels are a killer . . . is no joke", I breathed and went to take one final look at my outfit in the mirror.

Sophia walked into the room. "Did you really break your nose?"

I pinched my nose-bridge between my two fingers, feeling an off bump,  "I'm convinced I did."

My sister shook her head, "You have the weirdest start to your days."

"That's called luck", I said while putting on my hoop earrings.

"I doubt it feels like it", she countered plainly.

"Yeah well, nobody ever really feels lucky even when they are", I finally wore both hoops and sprayed on a little perfume because smelling good was not a choice but a necessity.

"Yo are we ready to go? We're going to be late for the food", Tamara was next to enter and I had to do a double take on her outfit, absolutely loving how well she pulled off her "chic with an edge" look which was a brown leather jacket, white knit halter top underneath, faux skirt and Saint Laurent boots.

"Well damn, you look good", I praised, genuine, with a hand on my hip.

Tamara whipped her sun-bleached waves around, mirroring the exact image of a "cool girl blonde" in the best way possible. "If we're really going to do this", my sister pulled out her shades and put them on, "We're doing it in style, baby." My mouth quirked. "Plus, we got a crowd out there waiting to publish a pic of us on whatever cover. It's the day to look good", she gestured a shoulder outside the room window.

"How did they even know?", I wondered at first but then realised even before Sophia explained.

"It's the first day of a new semester at Winxsor. The press must have assumed we're attending since all of three of us are here."

"Can you guys just imagine?", Tamara began to ask with her shades lowered.

"Imagine what?", I questioned.
