*Author's Note*-Happy LOKI day! Ahhh! I love it today! Keep in mind that this book does not directly follow the events of the movies, I have actually added a completely original storyline that you will find out soon. If you guys thought I was almost done, you are sorely mistaken. Sarah and Loki are not in the clear quite yet. Don't get me wrong, I love a happily ever after, but...I also love the drama. I have SO MUCH MORE planned for this story...and possibly a sequel... But for now, please enjoy the newest chapter!

*****

The next month I spend every waking moment training with Val and the team, even Loki on occasion, but he holds out on me so I prefer to train with Val, she's ruthless and I love it. I've been working my ass off ever since I found out I was a Valkyrie, waking up early, training with Val, eating healthy. I'm also trying to get Val to go sober, she's very defiant, but I've at least gotten her to lighten the amount of booze recently, I see that as a win. Thor has been enjoyable to train with, and the golden wrist gauntlets he gifted me have come in handy. And my Valkyrie marking has slowly but surely started to deepen in tone the more I train.

Loki being Loki is very protective of me whenever I train, and I have to constantly remind him I can handle myself, he knows I can but he can't help but worry. It's sweet, but it grew a tad annoying, thankfully he's slowly gaining confidence in me. With everyone helping me become a Valkyrie I feel stronger than I ever have, and more confidant too. I've made immense progress and I'm not the only one that noticed, S.H.I.E.L.D and the Avengers have recently invited me to go on a mission to investigate this strange organization; motives unknown. All they've told me is that this organization is not HYDRA and that it appears to not be run by humans. I of course said yes. My first mission. I could be an Avenger! That sounds so cool!

Now I'm on my way to tell Loki about the news. I can't decide if he'll be happy or not.

"Loki?" I ask as I walk into our room. He's perched on a chair by the window, reading a book. the sun cascades through the large window and highlights Loki in his peaceful state.

"Yes, darling?" Loki asks, not looking up from his book. I sigh, walking over to him and snatching the book from his hands, marking his page, and closing it. Loki sighed and looked up at me, annoyed, the sun highlighting a small sparkle in his emerald green eyes.

"Must you always steal away my books?" Loki asks, eyeing the book in my hands.

"I must when I talk to you, because otherwise, you won't hear me. You get so caught up in your books, but I need to tell you something." I say, my face now serious. Loki sits up, a concerned look on his face.

"What is it?" Loki asks more seriously.

"It's nothing bad, well to me at least." I start, "The Avengers just invited me on an upcoming mission...and I said yes." Loki stares at me a moment as if he didn't hear me right. "You're not happy," I say, my smile fading. Loki breaks out of his trance and stands up abruptly grabbing my hands in his.

"No, no, I am happy. I'm happy for you Sarah, I just...I'm worried, I don't want you getting hurt. I can't go with you due to still being under house arrest, and therefore I cannot protect you."

"Loki I love you, you know I do. I love that you worry about me, but I can handle myself. I won't be going alone either, the whole team is coming too and they have my back. Even Valkyrie is invited to give me help if I need it." I say, looking deeply up into Loki's dark green, alluring eyes, pleading him to understand. His face falls, eyes closing as he sighs in defeat.

"When is this mission?" He asks. I smile at him, glad that he's excepted this to some amount.

"Tomorrow," I answer. Loki walks closer to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his forehead against mine.
