Cw: a tiny bit of violence and cussing but not too much
Seonghwa started out of the alleyway before he felt a hand grip his shoulder lightly. "I should come with. As a shop owner myself I know which places to steer clear of." Yeosang said.
The older boy nodded and they both left the alleyway, leaving Wooyoung and Hongjoong alone with each other.
"Hmm.. I haven't been able to spot any places for food yet. What about you Yeosang?" Seonghwa asked, turning around to face the boy.
"No I haven't but I wasn't really paying attention, sorry." He said shyly. Yeosang put away the book he was writing in and avoided Seonghwa's gaze.
Seonghwa sighed and turned back around. They continued walking until they found themselves in front of a small bar and restaurant.
"This place looks pretty nice. What do you think Seonghwa?" Yeosang asked him. Seonghwa nodded and they walked inside.
They had sat down at the bar area and were looking for anything the others may like. They hadn't really noticed the people around them.
Seonghwa quickly stopped looking when he heard a familiar voice from behind. He turned and saw Mingi and Jongho asking around for Hongjoong.
He panicked and hid his face. "Shit. What if they recognize us!"
He saw the two approach Yeossng and turned away, pretending not to know the other. "Hello sir. I was wondering if you've seen anyone around that looks like this?"
Yeosang shook his head. "Sorry no, but I do hope you find him soon!" He gave his most convincing smile and looked back at the menu.
Once he heard Mingi and Jongho walking away Seonghwa sighed and turned back to the menu. He was thankful they hadn't asked him any questions.
...
Mingi was walking away when he felt a slight tap on his shoulder. "Mingi." Jongho whispered.
He hummed in reply. "That man next to the one we spoke with... I had noticed something off about him so I quietly observed him. That's when I noticed a piece of paper sticking out of his pocket."
Mingi nodded for him to continue, subtly glancing at Seonghwa. " Well I saw the edge of it and noticed a picture of Hongjoong on it. I think he was hiding one of the posters in there." He finished. Mingi immediately walked up to the man and tapped his shoulder.
"Sir. I do not mean to bother you but may we please take a look at your pockets?" He quickly turned around.
"U-um s-sure! That's no problem at all!" He stuttered out. They both kept their eyes on him as he stood up. Mingi grabbed the piece of paper from his pocket and noticed there were 3 folded up posters looking for Hongjoong.
"May you please state why you were carrying these?" He asked.
Seonghwa swallowed, gaining back his confidence from before. "Yes. I was taking them down because quite frankly, I didn't want you finding Hongjoong." Yeosang stepped in front of him.
"Seonghwa what do you think you're doing?" He exclaimed. The older male kept his eyes fixated on Mingi's. Not daring to look away.
"Then Sir, please give any information you have if you so wish for us to not find him." Mingi said, making it ever so obvious that he was on to the boys.
Yeossng stepped out of the way and did what looked like returning to his seat. Seonghwa ignored this and took a deep breath. "No."
"What?" Mingi asked, anger building up inside of him.
"I said; no." He shot back.
Seonghwa felt a sharp pain hit his face, almost knocking him over. He placed his hand over his cheek and felt the sting that was left.
"Did you just fucking punch me? All I said was 'no', is that so hard to understand?" Seonghwa shouted. He regained his balance from before and a short man soon rushed over to them.
"Hey! I'm going to need you two to leave immediately. You're causing a scene in my shop." He exclaimed, pointing to the entrance.
They all nodded, including Jongho who really hadn't said much, and left. Once they were outside Mingi grabbed Seonghwa by the wrists.
"Now speak. As head guard and prince of Deoleoun, We demand you give any information on Prince Hongjoong." Mingi forced.
Seonghwa shook his head, bracing as Mingi landed a blow to his face once again. "S-stop!" Jongho yelled.
Mingi looked in the prince's direction, shocked at the sudden outburst. "P-please, you don't need to resort to violence Mingi!" He continued to yell. His voice cracked a little, trying to hold back his tears.
"I want to find Hongjoong as much as you do but if he doesn't want to comply then he doesn't have to. You can do whatever you wish just please...please don't hurt him!" Jongho felt a tear roll down his cheek and Mingi's hold on Seonghwa loosened.
"I-i'm sorry my prince, I will do my best to keep him un injured from here on out." He regained his grip on Seonghwa and looked directly in his eyes. "But this doesn't mean you're getting away. Until you speak up I have no choice but to arrest you. We will take further action if necessary."
Seonghwa silently nodded as Mingi brought out handcuffs and hooked them on the other's wrists.
He began to walk Seonghwa away. Jongho was about to follow until he noticed movement in a nearby alleyway. He went to check it out but there was nothing so he shrugged and left it alone.
◇With Yeosang◇
"H-hongjoong! Wooyoung!" Yeosang breathed out. His breaths were heavy as he ran towards the two still sitting on the boxes.
The two hurriedly rushed over to him. "Yeosang! Where is Seonghwa, what happened?" Hongjoong questioned.
Yeosang attempted to catch his breath as Wooyoung helped hold him up. "N-no time...T-the prince.. he h-has.. s-seonghwa..!" He struggled to speak but Hongjoong got the message quickly.
"Thanks Yeosang. Wooyoung, make sure he cools down and I'm going to go find Seonghwa!" Wooyoung nodded and helped get Yeosang onto a box.
Hongjoong ran as quickly as he could, his hood fell down as he tried looking for the other. Hongjoong yelped as he tripped over a small rock in his path.
He picked himself up and stood there, his hands in a fist and his head hanging low.
"Seonghwa...please be safe!" He yelled into the sky.
