"George! I can't believe you made it!"

George couldn't help but to run up to Niki when he finally found her, wrapping her in a tight hug. "I wouldn't miss your grand opening for the world!" He said happily, smiling into her shoulder.

Three months had passed since George and Clay had made their relationship official, and everything since then had seemed like a happy blur to George. Three months filled with endless dinner dates, late nights on the beach, and learning to bake. George had expected the thrill, the euphoria of the honeymoon stage of their relationship to fizzle out after a month or so, but it didn't.

Nick came home eventually, and everything was good. The three were all subconsciously apprehensive about living together after such a big shift, but they fell back into the routine of stupid banter and constant teasing immediately.

When George found that the date of Niki's bakery opening was coming up, he took it as the perfect opportunity to go back to his hometown. He didn't want to go alone, though.

"Clay?" George could remember asking as they sat together in their cove one night.

"What's up Georgie?"

"Would you like to come home with me? To the UK? My friend is opening her bakery and I want to go see her, plus I kind of want to go pack up some of my things, I don't know how I've been living on your pc setup for so long." George said, laughing a bit.

"Of course! I can't wait to meet your friends, and you can take me to all the European wonders!" Clay started excitedly. "And I can meet your mom!"

"Are you seriously excited to meet my mom?" George asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Yes. And also, about getting your things, why don't you just move in? You basically live here anyways, why not make it official?"

"That would probably make it easier honestly,"

Clay leaned down to plant a kiss on George's head, and said, "This is going to be great, I can feel it."

George just leaned in closer to Clay and sighed contentedly before saying, "Yeah. I can't wait"

So after leaving Nick with careful instructions on how to take care of their cats, they left for London. George showed Clay all of Britain's wonders, and Clay helped him pack up his things into boxes to be shipped across the atlantic. Clay did eventually get to meet George's mom at a pleasantly awkward dinner at which both Clay and his mom were trying to embarrass him- George was annoyed but glad that they got along so well.

They were currently at Niki's grand opening for her bakery- a quaint little corner store that was filled with books, plants, and heavenly smells. Clay stood back and watched his boyfriend as he reunited with his friend.

"Niki, this is Clay, my soulmate." George said as they finally pulled apart, gesturing to Clay who stood there with a nervous smile.

"The Clay?! Oh god hello, I can't believe I'm finally meeting you!" Niki exclaimed as she pulled Clay into an unexpected hug. Clay looked at George over Niki's shoulder with a silent smirk that said so you talk about me? George just stared back with a sheepish glance that said shut up.

"It's so nice to meet you too! Your baking is delicious, now I know why George has such a sweet tooth," Clay said as they pulled away, making Niki laugh.

The three sat down and caught up, George talking about how Florida was and Niki explaining the nightmare renovation process. Niki and Clay got along well too, which made George happy.

Eventually Niki got called for, and had to leave. "Sorry boys, I have a business to run. We need to meet up before you leave again though, okay?"

"Of course, I miss you so much Niki," George said, giving Niki a final hug.

"Me too George. And I need to know all the dirt! You have a lot of explaining to do about how Clay is your soulmate and why you're leaving me for some American dude!" She spoke into his ear, making George laugh.

"Don't worry, I'll ditch him and leave him with my mom one day and we can go to the park or something." George said at full volume so Clay could hear.

"Hey what?" Clay protested as George dragged him out of the door, him and Niki both laughing and waving as he went.

Hours later, George and Clay find themselves roaming the streets together, walking on the warmly lit sidewalks and enjoying the cool air of the London night.

"So, how are my touring skills?" George asked playfully.

"This is perfect. I always imagined what it would be like to visit you in the UK before you came to Florida. Sometimes I would lay in bed and make elaborate plans to fly here and surprise you by confessing my undying love for you." Clay said dramatically, making George laugh.

"That would not go down well."

"Why not? Picture this- I show up at your doorstep, a strange man you've never seen before. I'm about to pass out from jet lag, and I smell horrible. Wouldn't that be the most romantic gesture ever?"

"No! You're such an idiot!" George said, the insult half hearted as you could hear the endearment in his voice.

As they laughed together, water started to come down from the sky in large, heavy drops. They turned to look at each other, both unsure of what to do as they were stuck in the rain. George went through their options but suddenly remembered something and formed an idea.

"Follow me, I know where we can go!" George yelled out to Clay over the sounds of the cars and the rain. He grabbed Clay's hand and started pulling him towards a small coffee shop that was at the end of the street.

As they stepped inside, both drenched from head to toe, Clay finally seemed to catch on to George's plan.

"Wait, this is like my first dream!" Clay said excitedly, staring at George in wonder.

"I know! Now we just need the coffee and the loveseat, right?" George said with a smile.

Clay wrapped him in a surprise hug, which was slightly uncomfortable due to them both being drenched but was comforting nonetheless.

"God, you're perfect. Thank you." Clay mumbled in his ear, making George blush. He didn't say anything in response, instead reaching up to kiss his soulmate gently.

A few minutes later, George and Clay had gotten their coffee and located a loveseat, and were sitting in comfortable silence as they tried to warm up. George looked out into his city, watching the people. It was crazy to him that each one of them had a story, a separate life that he would never know.

Then he looked back to his soulmate, a man that was once a mystery and yet somehow his best friend at the same time. He couldn't help but think that despite his dripping wet clothes and the mediocre coffee in his hands, there isn't anywhere else he'd rather be.

"Isn't it crazy, "George started thinking out loud, "to think that we met in our dreams?"

"We didn't meet in our dreams, we met on a minecraft server five years ago, " Clay said jokingly.

"You know what I mean, idiot."

"Yeah, I do." Clay agreed, "and I wouldn't have it be anyone else."

I saw you in a dream, you came to me,

You were the sweetest apparition, such a pretty vision...
