"What happened yesterday after you went with Aeri?"  Donghyuck asked the group of members as they cleaned up their instruments— packing them into their respected bags and containers.

Jaemin, who kneeled down at his guitar case, shrugged nonchalantly. Instead of him answering, Aeri cut in. Her body was leant against the large cushions of the basement's couch— her arms crossed as she glared at the blank wall behind the crowding men.

"I just angry cried," At her honest words, everyone excluding Jisung— who was currently taking a phone call, and Jaemin— who was originally there to witness it, turned to her. Their eyes were widened and some of them parted their lips in shock.

"Aeri? Crying?" Chenle couldn't fathom it. She rarely cried, or at least in front of them.

"Well, I'm not too surprised, she's been crying a lot recently,"  Jeno chimed it lowly, an ache clinging to his heart. He traveled from his drum set to the couch, where he stood in front of the woman— arms outstretched. "Aeri, we're here for you, y'know,"

Quickly, she wrapped her arms around his waist and brought him closer to her. She swiftly buried her head into the fabric of his striped shirt, inhaling his gentle perfume. It's always comforted her when she needed it the most. "It's been a little too much of a touchy subject to talk about it," Aeri mumbled into the material— her voice coming out as a little distant and muffled. Then moving her head to the side— she peered past the male's abdomen to the others. "But yes I know and I appreciate it more than you realize,"

Worriedly, Jeno glanced down at the girl in his embrace. "Oh, sorry, my bad, pumpkin," The raven removed one of his hands from around her shoulders and traveled it up to the crown of her hair where he ruffled it endearingly. An action that has been repetitive since high school.

Disliking the sudden somber mood, Donghyuck jumped up from his kneeling position. He knew just what to say. "Well not to fear, Ae, I hinted at Jisung—"

However his few words brought more emotions to the table, or specifically a 5'6 brunette woman who was barely holding everything together.

"You What?!" Out of shock, Aeri pushed Jeno back and stood up, moving towards the tanned male in quick steps.

Not expecting this to backfire on him, Donghyuck began to walk backwards, reaching out in any direction, before pulling an unlucky Mark in front of him. He used the older male as a human shield from the raging woman. "Listen, I thought this could work!l

"What in the world made you think that?!" The brunette exclaimed again, her arms reaching between the space of Mark's head and his shoulders to grab the other, but unfortunately, Donghyuck dodged every attempt. Which only agitated the woman more.

"I don't know the slate was wiped clean and we were talking about something related to it and I was just like why not try dating again, and with a special someone—" The boy rambled, as he tightly gripped at the other Lee's shoulders, drawing out a wince from him.

"D, my shoulders are gonna bleed soon—"

"Oh my god!" Aeri cut the older off, groaning out in frustration as she sank to the floor. Her limbs crumbled underneath her and her knees painfully buckled and gave out. "I'm gonna dig myself a hole, jump in and die—"

"Girl please, like I'd let you leave me alone in this hell," Jaemin sassed. He walked towards her, one hand pushing back his jet black hair as the other reach down, underneath her right arm, before easily lifting her to her feet.

"What's to go wrong with telling him to date again?" Donghyuck tried once more for her anger to subside, but yet again he only added to the fire.

Once steadily standing, the woman threw her hand out and began to list the many possibilities that flashed through her mind— all being quite negative. At that moment, she was a true pessimist. "Well, i don't know, another incident like Suyin and Haneul? A situation similar to me and renjun? Him getting his heart stomped on after it barely even healed? Or possibly—" Right as she listed her fourth outcome, Jisung and a light blonde female traveled down the steps of the basement— hands brushing against one another, nearly too much.

Aeri felt her left eye twitch as her orbs followed their close figures walk towards her and the others.

Something in her shattered. She didn't know what, but her stomach suddenly felt empty, and her head felt light. Almost obsessively, she ran her vision up and down the other girl's body.

She had hazel eyes, that were framed with the longest lashes, and her nose was small and button like, her lips were glossed with a pink shimmery tint, and her cheeks with rosy with blush.

Her blonde hair was naturally sat at her upper chest area, where a pearl necklace decorated her neck.

She wore neat, feminine clothing, a white shirt and over-layering light blue dress that coordinated with the open collared button up that sat atop Jisung's broad shoulders.

Aeri saw them steal a glance at once another, and she couldn't help but pay attention at the way the corner of the male's lips quirked up.

There was that gleam.

And it stared at another, a girl who was utterly and utmost perfect in every way. Something about her gentle features, and her bright smile made Aeri's heart fall to the pit of her stomach.

Suddenly the two females locked eyes.

In those few seconds they stared at each other, air no longer claimed presence in her lungs, and the color in her cheeks drained just as much as the energy flowed out from her body.

Aeri tried her hardest to find something, anything, that she could spit on, hate, dislike. Her eyes moved rapidly, tracing over the other woman once, another, and another.

However, she found nothing.

How could she hate her?

She barely knew her, yet she couldn't help but feel as if she lacked everything she had. Immediately, Aeri became aware of herself. She felt her pores widen, her teeth go yellow, her make up turn hideous, her height lowering until she was a mere ant, and her entire confident image that she had held for so long, deflating in just an instant.

Aeri felt small, ugly, and pathetic.

I mean look at her.

She looks beautiful.

She looks kind.

And she probably gives him butterflies.

"Guys, meet Minji,"

"— a new girl," She whispered.
