A Different Beginning ~ Part 4 ~ Updated 12/24/14 Early Evening

My eyes met Nathan’s blue eyes and I nodded a little but I didn’t dare let go.

Nathan’s arms were up in an instant and I very slowly crouched so that I was within arm reach. The warmth of his arms were instantly around my shaking small frame. My legs touched ground and I forced a breath in and out ducking my head to cough into my hands and away from Nathan.

But to my surprised Nathan’s hands never lifted from my hips as I shook and coughed he pulled me into his chest and then the wind was gone. Glancing up, I noticed Kota standing in front of us blocking the wind with his back. His smile returned to his face but I saw the worry in his eyes.

Blushing as I stayed in Nathan’s arms, I coughed a bit more and felt Kota step closer making me flinch at the closeness. “Do you feel comfortable coming over now?”

At this point I didn’t have a choice any more, with Nathan’s hands around my body and Kota so comforting I owed them. Giving in I nodded. Kota brightened and the two guided me down the path to Kota’s house. I heard Max barking as the wind pulled at my hair and clothes making me shiver. Opening the door quickly, Kota herded us though the thresh hold of his home and closed the door. Max rushed up to me and I took a protective step back putting my injured hands out.

“Kota? What has taken so long? We were supposed to have picked up Silas a while a-“ A male stepped into view following the baritone voice. My eyes met the other’s eyes and I saw a spark. How many boys were there? I expected him to finish his statement when he suddenly reached out and caught my hands. “Your hands!” His hands were warm as well. Nervous I quickly yanked them away and started to step back when Nathan caught my shoulders making my flinch.

“Easy.” Nathan whispered into my ear and Kota stepped forward.

“Victor this is Sang. Sang this is Victor.” Kota responded and lightly took my hands from my side which I hand carefully folded up. “Let me see your hand.” He lightly tapped my fingers and as if on command it opened. I was a little surprised. Did I really trust him that much already?

Kota’s eyes focused on my hand and my eyes focused on the fire in Victors. I sucked in a breath as his met mine. “What happened? Who did this?” His baritone voice shook my chest and I flinched as Kota shifted my hand.

I glanced down and pointed to Max who sat at my feet looking sad but perked up when he got attention. “This guy.” As if to agree Max barked.

Feeling Nathan’s chest I could feel him laugh and the image of his smirk lashed before my eyes. I held back a flinch this time and gazed at Victor who smiled as well. But pain shot through my hand before I could meet the other’s smile. I couldn’t hold back my reaction as my breath stop short and I rip my hand away from Kota’s hands instantly.

“Woah!” Nathan stopped laughing and caught me as I started to shake, flinching hard, feeling the other’s eyes rush to my face and I heat up. “Sang…” Nathan’s voice was centimeters away from my ear. “Breath little bird. You okay?”
