As soon as her feet slammed to the ground, her stomach churning and turning inside her after the unpleasant feeling of being sucked into a latex tube and coming out of the other end—something Hermione disturbingly related to birth or a condom—Hermione fell sideways only to be caught by Fred (who by now was more than used to apparition). She wasn't the biggest fan of apparation, sure it wasn't as bad anymore, but she definitely preferred a car.

"Easy there, love," he said chuckling, "You'd do better not fall more for me."

Hermione gave him a deadpan look and rolled her eyes, not being able to hide the smile threatening to appear on her face. "I hate apparition."

"You get used to it," Fred shrugged in amusement.

Hermione shook her head the corner of her lips twitching up. She grabbed his hand and led them to the front of the house, Fred laughing as he followed her.

Hermione took a deep breath as she approached the front door. She couldn't help but be slightly nervous about seeing the Grangers again. Even more so, because she had revealed through a letter that she knew she was adopted and had found her real dad. In retrospect that was almost as bad as breaking up with someone through text, not that people in that year would know what a text was. The point is that it must have been a shock to them. Almost spitting out kind of shock. Hermione just hoped that everything would be well.

Speaking of her bio dad and her really overcomplicated life story, Hermione had just reminded herself—as if the apparation had snapped her out of her high from being back with Fred—that she had loads to explain to the said boy.

She would definitely not do the same as before and hide things from him. As much as she knew he respected her, she also knew Fred wasn't a patient man by default, and somewhere along the line, her kept secrets would end up causing more trouble than she would like. Besides Fred had proven over and over again that he would always be there for her and so, Hermione decided to take a leap of faith—which wasn't that great as she had already told others (at least something); however, only Sirius, her dad, knew the whole ordeal and the seeing the dead part (something she also intended on telling Fred; no more secrets). It was the least she could do after. . . . Well, after being a selfish bitch.

"Hey," Fred said as he waved a hand in front of her face. "Everything alright?"

Hermione shook her head off her thoughts—blinking a few times—and turned to look at him with a smile, "Yeah—just peachy," she said.
