A Different Beginning ~ Part 21 ~ Updated: 1/6/15 Late Evening

**POV: Sang**

I woke about 10 in the morning. Victor was sitting in the small crawl space that lead to the small alcove carefully placed behind a closed door. Exhausted I rubbed my eyes and slowly slipped out of bed. I stretched very slowly and rubbed my head a little feeling the warmth. I grumbled a little and stood silently leaving my room and moving to the bathroom.

Running the warm water I slipped under the shower and cleaned, my thoughts flicking through the events of yesterday and early this morning and I lightly touched my cheek remembering the smack from my mother. I shivered and sighed turning off the water and toweled off. Slipping on some random shorts and a clean t-shirt, I brushed my teeth and then moved back to my room rubbing the towel to my head drying my hair.

I closed the door silently and Victor appeared shifting out of the crawl space. “Hey?” I whispered and cleared my voice. I remembered Luke leaving early this morning and I smiled softly.

Victor shifted forward to me and smiled. “Hey Princess.” I smiled blushing a little and shifted to get my brush slowly working through my blonde hair. “Sang how are you feeling?” He questioned and I looked confused as I put down the brush and toweled my head once more.

“Fine.” I responded and moved to my bed carefully shifting the covers to make the bed again. Victor shifted with me.

“Sang… are you in pain?” I froze and looked down shaking a little. He knew what had happened last night. I forced a breath into my lungs and out and looked over to him meeting his eyes.

“No… not right now…” I whispered and slowly finished making my bed just feeling off. My hand fluttered to my lips as I carefully sat down and placed a hand on my forehead and breathed slowly. It was hard to digest. I had spent the night asleep in Luke’s arms and then in Victor’s arms. I didn’t know how I was supposed to feel. I heard shifting and Victor was sitting next to me.

“Hey Sang…” I looked over to Victor and smiled softly knowing he had caught my confused look.

“Sorry… thank you for staying with me Victor.” I smiled and shifted away moving to the window and touching the glass softly the cool touch making feel better.

Victor smiled and approached. “You look a little confused.” He was careful as he worded his statement and I smiled softly turning.

“Yeah… I… I am unsure how I feel.” I felt myself wobble and Victor slipped his had carefully around my stomach making me flinch.

“Kinda like in a fog.” He whispered and I nodded slipping into his chest and he wrapped his arms around me making me flinch again. “You have a fever still. That is why you feel a little shaky.” He explained and I connected the dots remembering the burn of my forehead.

“A cold?” I whispered. Victor shook his head and lightly keeping me comfortable.
