A Different Beginning ~ Part 32 ~ Updated: 1/17/15 Late Evening

I woke a number of times that night. Each time waking up confused as to where I was. It was about two in the morning when I gave up trying to sleep and slowly slipped out of bed moving very slowly to the door. No one moved everyone to exhausted from the day. I slipped out of the doors and looked around trying to determine where I was. Everything was different and very formal and expensive looking. Keeping my hands at my stomach, I lightly shifted about the hallway and to my surprise one of the doors opened revealing a tired Mr. Blackbourne in a light grey t-shirt and long black pajama pants.

My eyes widened looking him over and his eyes widened in return looking at me. He shifted out the door running his hands through his hair. “Ms. Sorenson what are you doing up?” He shifted forward and lightly slipping his hands to my hair which I realized was probably a mess. I blushed and looked down.

“I couldn’t sleep.” I whispered and his hands sifted to my sides and lightly brought me to lean into his chest.

“Are you in pain?” Mr. Blackbourne responded lightly rubbing my back a little. I rested my head on his chest letting out a soft breath.

“No. No pain right now. The medicine Dr. Green gave me helped.” I smiled and felt the male relax.

“Good. Do you need me to get you something? This house is very big and I don’t want you running off.” I laughed softly and stiffened at a bit of pain that rushed through my stomach. Mr. Blackbourne’s hands lightly stopped on my lower back holding my still.

“I didn’t get any of my homework done…” I whispered and smiled once I had calmed down. “I was hoping my backpack would be around."

Mr. Blackbourne’s eye brows raised and I looked away blushing a little. “If you are sure I have your back pack.” He guided me into another room and I realized this was where Dr. Green was asleep on a long white couch and was probably where Mr Blackbourne was sleeping. I lightly slipped my hand into his as he started to move away and his eyes widened.

“I will work in here. You rest. I will be quiet.” I smiled and he slowly relaxed as well. Bringing my back pack over to the table, I settled myself in a chair with a cover placed around my shoulders and started my work. It took a little while but Mr. Blackbourne soon fell back asleep on the couch and I focused on getting my work done.

I worked through the night in the chair and by about five in the morning, I had finished everything that was due for that day. Smiling I laid back against the chair and I heard Dr. Green shifting. “Pookie?” His voice was soft and I smiled softly.

“Good morning Sean.” I whispered and watched him make his way over to me a cover wrapped around him.

“How long have you been up cutie?” He slipped his arms around my shoulders and I smiled at his warmth.

“Two.” I closed my books and felt his arms tighten a little.
