FIRST PERSON
"The Yule Ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since it's inception on Christmas Eve. We will gather our guests in the Great Hall for a night of well mannered frivolity as representatives of the-"

"I'm literally going to die here." I whispered with my head in my palm.

Mcgonagall continued talking as the students listened.

Harry was sat on the other side of the room with the rest of the boys and I honestly could not stop staring at him. It's almost like he's mesmerizing. I'm mesmerized.

"Stop being dramatic." Hermione rolled her eyes at me with a grin, "Just continue gazing at Harry." She smirked and nudged my shoulder.

"Sod off, Hermit Crab." I grinned and giggled into my hand. Hermione's jaw was slightly dropped and she laughed before hitting my arm, "Never dropping that one."

"-because, the Yule Ball, is first and foremost, a dance." Mcgonagall continued speaking.

Harry and I glanced at each other but quickly looked away when we noticed we made eye contact.

Hermione noticed and continued to display that cheeky grin on her face.

The rest of the students began their conversations and Mcgonagall quickly halted them, "Silence. I will not have you behaving like a babbling, bumbling, band of baboons."

The twins started to whisper to each other, 'They're probably trying to say it five times fast.' I thought and looked away from them.

"Who do you think.. Harry will take to the ball?" I asked Hermione, ignoring the professor as she went on.

"Hmm let me think- Y/N Dixon." Hermione sarcastically responded.

"Ehhh wrong," I turned to her and she frowned, "I told you Harry and I are just friends. I don't want to go with him- i'll just end up snogging him again." I sighed.

"So? I think you should go for it." Hermione smiled brightly, "You two would be an amazing
duo. Just imagine- wait- why don't you want to date him anyway?" Hermione asked confusedly.

I opened my mouth to respond but, was stopped by Ron who was now standing up. Harry was smiling as he pushed the redhead forward and onto the floor.

My heart pounded ten times faster when he kept the smile on his face and turned to me. I grinned and shot a middle finger at him by acting like something was in my eye.

"I'm hurt." He mouthed back at me and I smiled to reply. He looked away and sent a middle finger back, acting as if nothing happened.

I tried to hold in my laughter but it got worse when Ron began to dance with Mcgonagall.

Fred and George imitated his dancing and Harry whispered something to them causing them to shake their heads no in response.

"Okay everyone come to your feet. Find a partner, quickly." Professor Mcgonagall instructed.

The guys hesitated but I grabbed Hermione's arm as the girls stoop up.

When I got to the center of the floor, the guys jumped up from their spots and raced over to Hermione and I.

"Er.. excuse me, excuse me- sorry," A familiar voice was heard from behind the crowd. I smiled when I saw Harry gently pushing through the other boys.

"Seems like I was right." Hermione walked away, leaving us space.

"May I?" Harry put his hand out in front of me. The others went quiet and sighed as if they knew my answer already.

I smiled and took his palm in mine. Harry giggled and pulled me closer, laying a hand on my waist. The guys spread out and found different partners.
