"Beep, beep, beep" My alarm rang. My eyes shot open and I quickly grabbed my phone, turning the alarm off in just seconds. I was a light sleeper and had difficulties falling asleep which got better with the melatonin (sleeping hormone pills) that i took every night.

It is 06:45 AM and I'm tired... really tired. It's the end of January and the weather is cold while the sky is dark which makes my mood even more depressed.

I roll out of bed thinking I would only fall back to sleep, lying in my warm, comfortable bed for one more minute. I went to the bathroom to do my business. After I was done I dragged myself out of the bathroom but not before I took a look in the mirror to see the bags under my eyes starting to appear.

"Goodmorning Aria!" My mom said energetically while I passed her in the hall while going to change into some new clothes.

I respond with a 'mhm', not having the energy for a real answer. My mom has so much energy in the morning compared to me. I just feel tired, annoyed and depressed that I had to go to school. I hate school so much, it feels so pointless and there isn't anything that interests me there.

I dressed in some white t-shirt, black hoodie and some jeans. On my way downstairs I passed my brother's room, he was sleeping of course. He had dropped out of school and was now chillin at home. Don't ask me why...

"Hi" I said with an emotionless face as I saw my dad, reaching the dining room downstairs. He said Hi in return and went back to washing dishes.

I took out some leftovers out of the fridge and decided that it would be nice not having to make dinner today. I finished my breakfast and went to my mom's car where she's waiting. I took out my airpods from my bag and started listening to some classical music. I saw my mom's mouth moving and looking at me here and there.

I nodded and pretended to hear what she was talking about, probably about her worries for my brother's future. I'm not rude or anything but I just prefer closing my eyes. Pretending I've traveled back in time standing in a ball room. That's the vibe I got from the classical music I was listening to.

The sky was still pitch black and I wondered if the sun would ever show itself today.. probably not. When we passed a certain sign on the road I knew we were close to my school which didn't make me happy. 'Why can't my mom drive slower so that I'll arrive later?' I thought to myself.

We arrived at school and I got out of the car and started walking toward the school entrance. 2K students in this school but not a single student had arrived yet, that's how early i was. But I had no other choice. My mom wouldn't drive me and that would mean I was sitting in a train and busses for 1 hour. I'm not doing that so I just had to put up with being early.

I sit at a bench near my locker and just stare at my phone. I have no games or anything but just stare at my screen and think of how I'll get through yet another day. "Oi Aria!," I looked up seeing my friend C.J standing beside me. "Hi C.J, I didn't notice you coming," I said with a smile. "Are gonna sit there all day or come to class with me, we start in just 4 minutes" he said, not even a hint of stress in his voice. 'oh right my first class is math with C.J' i think.

Suddenly I feel myself being dragged. "c'mon we are gonna be late" he said as he dragged me to my locker. "Hey" I say as I'm going into class and noticing that Julius (C,J's friend) is entering the classroom. He sighs in response, totally ignoring me. 'ehm, okay what was that about?' i wonder.
