Some time had passed, and the beginning-of-the-year speech by Dumbledore, and feast, finished quite some time ago. On everyone's way out of the Great Hall, (Y/n) walked by Hermione's side for a couple seconds and expressed how she wanted to discuss something, and told her to meet her at the Astronomy Tower at midnight.
Hermione would normally oppose such an idea. Staying up late before the first day of school? What an idiotic thing to do. Nonetheless, she ended up agreeing to meet (Y/n) at that location, at the exact time, simply because it was the girl she fancies who had that idea.
Ron and Harry, therefore, found it necessary to tease their friend. However, the bushy-haired brunette completely ignored them, for she knew it wasn't going to be some romantic meeting in the dead of night. No, Hermione was aware that (Y/n) was disappointed at her for her slip-up earlier, and that was why she was anxious rather than excited for when midnight would come.
When the Slytherin Princess was venturing towards the dungeons, she ran into none other than Allison. The two swiftly informed one another about their summers before (Y/n) brought up how she was gonna sneak out to the Tower, later.
"Do you need some tips on how to make it out of the common room with no one noticing!?" Allison's eyes twinkled with excitement when she suggested that.
(Y/n) chuckled at how she appeared so enthusiastic to help her accomplish some mischief. "Thanks, Ali, but I already know how to sneak out, and also how to not get caught."
That news caused the older Slytherin to pout. "Fine! Since you're already so knowledgeable, I won't ever give you any tips!"
"You're older than me, yet you somehow manage to behave like a child sometimes, Allison," said (Y/n), clearly amused.
"Oh, be quiet!"

The big hand in the wrist watch (Y/n) wore struck midnight, and that informed her that she was officially late to her scheduled "meeting" with Hermione. Regardless, she strolled down the hallway at a slow pace and took her time. Two minutes passed before (Y/n) did end up arriving, and she wasn't surprised by the fact that Hermione made it there before her.
"You're late," she whispered, matter-of-factly, a tired expression embedded on her face. Her arms were crossed, and she anxiously tapped two fingers against her arm. "What took you so long?"
