Screw this pair of bright green eyes plaguing Jasper's mind.
Screw the way his fingers are still drumming to the rhythm her heart followed.
Screw the way his gift is calling out for her first thing first after arriving at school.
And screw the way disappointment clouds his mind as he finds himself unable to do so.

He shouldn't feel like this, not after the very few moments he has laid eyes on her. But he can't help feeling intrigued, can't help but want to know more about her and her emotions, can't help but long for the calming feeling that wrapped itself around his mind the moment her scent has reached his nose and can't help but long for the feeling of pure and utter silence, calmness and content that sneaked its way into his heart as his eyes locked with hers.

"Where have you been to all morning?" Alice pulls him out of his thoughts after only a few seconds of drifting off.

Raising his eyes, they meet Emmett's. A mixture of curiosity, childish excitement and confusion meddle with his feelings and Jasper lets his glance drop back to the ground.

"I was curious. Y'all talked about this chick like she's some sort of alien, so I followed her." Emmett shrugs. "What? Why?"Rosalie glares up at him, insecure despite really not having any reason to.

Sometimes she just feels as though Emmett deserves someone to enjoy vampire life as much as he does. Someone, who will do all those crazy things with him and someone to simply ramble about it when he gets excited about all the things they are able to do but humans aren't.

But Rosalie just simply can't be that person, she is holding herself back too much for it. She is holding on to that part of her human life that allowed her to grow old and to have children. She is holding on to the feeling of blushing and the way blood rushed through her veins when she was angry, embarrassed or even excited.

Because Rosalie is afraid that once she lets go, she will lose that last part of humanity within her.

"Curiosity." Emmett replies shortly, his arm wrapping around his wife in a soothing manner as his lips meet her temple to press a short, hurried kiss to it. "Curiosity killed the cat." Rosalie states with a roll of her eyes.

She does not understand why all of them are this intrigued by a human.

A human, who, by the littlest of mistakes on their side, could mean the death of the entire coven. A human, who could not only be responsible for their exposure to mankind but someone, who might as well be the cause of the following destruction. Rosalie is worried about her family and she doesn't understand why they don't get her point. It makes her furious.

"Curiosity also kept it alive." Emmett brushes it off easily, his arm tightening around her shoulder to show her that he is here with her. That he is by her side.

"What did she do?" Alice changes the subject back to the original topic. "She blackmailed the coach." Emmett smirks at her. "She did what?" the pixie's eyes widen in shock.

"Awesome, isn't it? She has more balls than Edward does."
Emmett's eyes sway to said guy with an amused sparkle in them.
"Everyone does."
Aurelia scoffs, her arms wrapping around Alice to pull her back flush against her chest.

Meeting Edward's glare, Aurelia raises a brow; challenging him to object. But he knows better than that.

"Oh, hey. There she is." Alice nods towards the jeep driving into the parking lot.

Jasper's head turns slightly to look at both Jessica and Anastasia as they exit the car. And once again he is left surprised.

While Jessica feels rather excited as she rambles about her upcoming shopping trip with Lauren and Angela, Anastasia has out on an authentic-looking smile as she listens closely.

But her feelings betray her facade, she is annoyed and annoyance is slowly turning into irritation; especially once her eyes fall onto the school building.

Anastasia can't believe she will have to go through a whole day of school, but then again, she will probably ditch some time around lunch. School pisses her off and her concentration lasts for about ten minutes most before she loses complete interest in whatever is going on.

It's just plain unnecessary.

Edward huffs under his breath as he follows Anastasia's line of thoughts. They went from wanting to strangle Jessica to complaining about school in a matter of seconds before they eventually drifted off to... why coffee stains teeth brown but milk doesn't stain them white.

How does one even get the idea of thinking that?

"We should start heading inside," he speaks up, turning on his heels to make his way to the classroom; followed by the rest of his family, who eventually parts way to get to their respective classes.

None of them shares one with Anastasia. Today.
