The sounds of the fake lyre woke Venti up that next morning, morning flower, one of Venti's personal favorites.
Venti yaws and rubs his eyes as he checks his phone. At least he woke up on time considering what happened last night. Although he was slightly hung over, but nothing a little pain killers couldn't fix.
He got up and walked over to the kitchen, Lumine and Aether already there enjoying their morning coffee.
"Good morning Venti," Lumine says, a little big groggy.
"Good morning you two!" Venti smiles.
"Someone's in a good mood after drinking last night," Aether takes a sip of his coffee.
"Ehe, yeah, but I'm here for some pain killers first, and do you guys know what happened after I got drunk, I only remember calling Xiao and then him carrying me on his back and then I was in bed," He grabs the painkillers out of the cabinet and a glass of water and takes them.
Aether chuckles, "Yeah you called him, he came in and you sat on his lap and then he carried you home and then he put you to bed. You guys hugged, even though you got kinda handsy, and then Xiao pinned you, and then you asked for a kiss. You didn't kiss though… too bad,"
Venti's eyes widened, he coughed loudly out of surprise and almost choked on his water, "TOO BAD? AND WHY WOULD I ASK FOR A KISS? OH NO I HOPE I DIDN'T RUIN OUR FRIENDSHIP," he panics and starts biting his nails.
"Don't worry, Venti, I'm sure he'll still want to be friends with you after this," Lumine reassures him.
"Oh I don't know, I feel like I messed up with this one, I have to go apologize," Venti runs back to his room and whips open his closet doors.
He scans his closet and finds a nice long sleeve baggy, pink shirt with some black shorts to go with it. He quickly brushes out the longer parts of his hair, not having enough time to braid it, and runs out the room and back into the kitchen.
"Sorry guys, but I have to go, I'll see you at school!" He grabs his school bag and darts out the door, giving his roommates no time to talk to him.
He dashes down the street and in the direction of his college, it takes a little while longer to get there but nothing a little sprinting can't fix.
After a couple of minutes of sprinting and a quick stop to catch his breath, Venti finally got to his school. He ran inside and headed straight for the courtyard that was just behind the first building.
He looked around searching for a certain teal headed emo boy.
He spotted him sitting with Hu Tao on a bench next to a tree. He took a deep breath in and out, he readjusted his clothes and bag to make it look more presentable.
"Hey Xiao, could I talk to you for a second?" Venti asks, walking up to them.
Xiao pauses, he still has the chopsticks and food in his mouth, he really wasn't expecting to see him right here and now, "Sure," he says with a full mouth.
He places his plastic container and chopsticks on the bench, and they move under another tree that was just barely out of earshot of Hu Tao.
"So… what's up?"
"Oh yes, I wanted to apologize for last night, I'm sorry you had to see me like that and I'm sorry I was being weird. I hate to say, but that's just how I am when I'm drunk," Venti nervously looks around, avoiding eye contact and fidgeting with his bag.
"I, um, it's ok I guess? There's no real reason to apologize,"
Venti looks back up at Xiao, "But I risked our friendship,"
