Life in Hawkins rather suddenly turned interesting with the disappearance of Will Byers. It seemed almost wrong to be so invested in such an upsetting matter, but like most things, it drew them in like no other.
For Sadie Henderson, her involvement was a little different. She had babysat Will on several occasions when Jonathan and Joyce were working. And not only that but her brother, Dustin, was best friends with him, and Sadie was undeniably close with her brother and his group of friends since they had become friends during the fourth grade and she was the one who ended up helping out their parents and watching them.
So when Will Byers went missing, she knew the impact on both her and Dustin would be considerably significant. But on the night of the town-wide search completed by volunteers, Sadie was called over to the Wheeler house by her brother.
Only to find a girl sat on the couch who barely said a word, but seemed to know what happened to Will and had strange magical powers.
It was after meeting her that Sadie became even more involved in Will's disappearance and their search to get him back, which differed from anything any of them had ever seen. They would eventually be joined by others in the danger, some predictable, others unlikely.
