"We should stop by the convenience store on the way back," Korei hummed as she sipped some more of her smoothie. She and Shinsou were talking more openly in the group, but they weren't sure if anyone was listening to their side conversations.
"Condoms?" Shinsou asked, not sure what it was that Korei was wanting to pick up from the store. Without skipping a beat, or even blushing, Korei answered his question while picking at the purple paint chipping off of his nails.
"Those and some candy. I've been craving some sour gummy worms. I also need to pick up some over-the-counter Midol." She shrugged, unaware of the blushing messes that had become of the other three people with them. Looking up at them when she realized how quiet it was, she saw the looks on their faces and let a slight pink develop on her cheeks. "Oh...you guys heard that?"
Shinsou's work here was done. Now that Denki and Sero knew he and Korei were serious, they'd leave her alone. He watched the scene unravel before him, his chin resting against his free hand in a bored manner.
"I-it's not bad or anything! We've been together fo-for a while, you know? I-it's good to be prepared, just in case." She explained to them, knowing that she didn't have to but feeling like she should anyway.
"Korei! How come you didn't tell me about any of this?" Denki whisper-yelled, shoving his way over Sero, who was dumb-founded and unsure of what to think. On one hand, he was super excited to know that Korei wasn't shy about sex, but he was also a little upset that he wouldn't get to be her first. Wait! Why the hell is he thinking as if he'll actually ever get with her?! Not a fucking chance!
"Um, because it's really not your...business? I-i know what I'm doing...kinda. Hoshi-kun and I have talked about it quite a bit. It's not a certainty but I'd like for us to be prepared if we ever do decide to go that far," she told them like she hadn't already made up her mind. Despite their little bump in the relationship earlier, she was certain that Shinsou was the one for her. "I don't want to get pregnant or anything. Hoshi! Please help me out?"
"You said it best, kitten. When we wanna have sex then we'll be prepared," The way he said it made Korei's stomach flutter. She loved how sure he was about it, but she was also a little worried. Was he talking about when he wanted to or would he allow her to make a decision as well? Would she actually get a choice or...?
"Go off, I guess?" Jirou mumbled, awkwardly taking a sip of her smoothie and averting her gaze. At least she was giving a reaction, Sero just tried to ignore the whole thing completely, wanting to talk about what he was before overhearing that. Denki was the one that seemed oddly interested in it, but he's just a pervert who's obsessed with gossip so it's completely understandable.
"So like...when are you guys gonna do it?" Denki asked, being his invasive self. Sero hit him on the back of the head, shoving the blond back over to his side of the booth. Denki pouted and rubbed the back of his head. "Hey! I was just wanting to know! No need for unnecessary force!"
"I-i think we're gonna head out," Korei spoke up, standing from her spot at the booth and brushing the back of her shorts off. Sero's gaze traveled, only caught by Jirou who gave him this look that told him he needed to watch himself. "I had so much fun with you guys, though! Hopefully, we can do it again sometime soon?" She wasn't exactly planning on reaching out or putting together a group date anytime soon.
"Yeah! Can we get your snap or something so we can set that up in the future?" Sero asked, ignoring Jirou's stare. Korei nodded, happily reciting off her username. Shinsou's narrowed gaze locked on Sero, a jealous feeling burning in his stomach. There was something off about this guy. "Alrighty! You two be safe!"
"Yeah! You too!" Korei bowed and then went to hug Denki once she was out of the booth. After their goodbyes were said, she bowed and took Shinsou's hand into hers. "Gosh, I really regret buying a large. I'm gonna waste so much of this smoothie."
"I'll drink the rest if you're not going to. I'm almost done with mine anyway," Shinsou shrugged, glancing over at his girlfriend as they walked in the direction of the convenience store.
"Okay!" She nodded, happy to give him the rest. "Thanks for coming with me, Hoshi-kun. I definitely wouldn't have had as much fun with them by myself. I-it got a little...boring there before you came to the table," she confessed, leaning her head against his shoulder as they continued walking. Shinsou hummed in amusement, not sure if Korei was just pretending or what. Is it even possible that she actually meant that? She preferred spending time with him over other people? After everything he's done to her? "Maybe we should just stick to date dates, not group dates."
"I'm cool with that," he nodded, silently congratulating himself for not messing up on their date. Man was he so proud! "Maybe we could..." he trailed off, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "I don't know. Tomorrow, we could go to the arcade or something? I-i mean, we don't have to, but–!" He was cut off by Korei's cute agreement. Smiling softly to himself, he leaned his head to rest against hers as they walked towards the sunset. "I love you."
