Noah didn't realized how much like Lorelei he truly was. But after the conversation he had with Dixie he couldn't help but get a sense of déjà vu but on the other person's perspective. He remembered what it felt like having someone pull away from him. And he couldn't help but feel like he was doing the exact same thing to Dixie. He found himself waiting for her to leave. To give up. Tell him this wasn't working anymore. He didn't know why or how to stop it, he just knew he didn't want to repeat history. And he didn't wanna be the cause of what could hurt him and his girlfriend the most.

In any case today was Charli's funeral it had been about a week since Noah and Dixie's conversation. Nick had stayed an extra week and a half to help get everything set up as well as attend the funeral.

Noah wouldn't say him and Nick are friends but they're not enemies or anything like that. Just acquaintances for now.

"Hey you okay babe?" Noah asked finding Dixie in the front row of the church. He put his arm around her neck. Looking at her face for some sort of answer to his question. "Yea I'm fine.. it just seems so real." "Yea I'm sorry baby I know this must be so hard if there's anything I can do please let me know." "There's nothing I need right now." "Okay."

They sat down both Noah and Dixie staring at the closed casket in front of them. Dixie had asked them to close it. She said she wouldn't be able to do this if it wasn't.

"Today we gather." The priests starts barely able to keep eye contact. "To witness the life of a beautiful young women be taken away. Charli was everything you would ever need in your life she was charismatic and genuine always had a smile on her face, even when she didn't feel like it. And though we lost her too soon we will always have her. A piece of her in our hearts."

Noah looked over at Dixie. She was rolling her eyes. "What's wrong." "Nothing." "Dixie your rolling your eyes at your sisters funeral." "It's just he doesn't even know her." Dixie was going to continue talking until she saw Chase standing by his wife's casket with a piece of folded paper in his hand.

"My wife." He started water touching the paper that laid between his finger tips. "She was the best thing that had ever happened to me. She'd been sick for a while now in and out of the hospital for years. I always knew this day would come always thought about it like it would happend tomorrow in hopes that would mentally prepare myself with a real thing. But it's tomorrow now and im just now realized I don't have anything left to live for. She was my dying breath and she died. I'm not saying these words to you for you to feel sorry for me. Trust me I don't want your sympathy no I want you to live, hug the people you love. One day they won't be able to hug you back."

Chase got down looking at the casket. Placing a kiss to it gently. Dixie thought it was sweet. Noah hoped those things got cleaned.

They started walking out everyone getting in there cars to watch them put her in the grave. It went by fast the prayers the flowers the goodbyes the endless amounts of tears.

It had started to rain. Dixie was sitting by her sisters headstone crying.

"Baby."

"I need a minute."

"Okay."

Noah had intended to give her that minute but seeing her cry like that made him think otherwise. Walking over to sit with her in the muddy rain by his girlfriends sisters headstone.

"Sweetheart I'm so sorry."

"It's fine."

"It's not, it's okay to grieve to mourn the loss of your sister."

"Yea I know."

"Are you sure."

"Yea."

"Okay what do you need me to do for you baby."

"Nothing."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

Noah had stood back up. About to give Dixie the space she had previously asked for.

"Wait."

Noah turned his head slowly.

"There is something you could do."

"Anything."

"Hold me."

He got down hugging her holding her in his arms as she cried.

"I'm here Dixie. I've always been here."
