Third person-

"Baby I'll call you when I get in the house," Messiah said as he walked out of the restaurant with Delilah's little hand in his. "Don't forget, Siah." Justus said as he hung up.

It's a late Friday night and Delilah and Messiah are walking to the car. Messiah decided to have a father daughter day with Delilah to cheer her up. She's been really sad about the whole mom situation. Although she didn't understand what was going on she could tell something was wrong.

"Daddy can I have puppy?" Delilah asked as she watched a person walk down the street walking their dog. "We'll see, D." That meant yes. Delilah have been asking for a dog for a while.

When they reached the car Messiah felt a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He was trying to hurriedly get Delilah in the car so they could leave but something told him to look up.

He made eye contact with a person that looked oddly familiar. He reacted quickly when he saw that person pull out a gun and aim it at Messiah. Messiah roughly and quickly pulled Delilah back shielding her small body with his own.

Delilah cried at the sudden action and the loud noise that was being heard. Three gun shots were let out before the unidentified person fled the scene.

Messiah was still standing. Two more bullets were let out from a different direction. Then a car was heard fleeing the scene.

Each bullet hit Messiah in a different place and none hit Delilah. Messiah looked down at Delilah seeing she was okay. Delilah looked up at her dad with tears in her eyes only to see him start to fall to the ground as he let out pained noises.

Delilah started to cry hard as she looked around for a person to ask for help. She didn't know what to do. Many people walked by the little girl and man who was on the verge of death deciding not to help them. It wasn't their business and they didn't want to be involved.

Delilah looked around seeing Messiah's phone sticking out of his pockets. With her shaking hands she dialed the number her father told her to call if she ever needed help and he wasn't there. She called 911.

When the other lined picked up Delilah started to stutter out words with her broken English. "Can you help, my- my- my-," "take a deep breath
Sweetheart what wrong?" The lady on the other line said with a sweet voice.

"My daddy is bleeding, and he been shot." Delilah said trying her best to talk clearly knowing the lady on the other line couldn't understand her.

"What's your name?"

"Uhm, Delilah Ronae Harris."

"And how old are you Delilah?"

"I'm three and a half." She remembered her dad telling her that a couple of days ago.

"Where are you located, Delilah? Do you know?" Delilah looked around the parking lot unsure of what the place they were at was called.

"Uhm, I spell it?" She asked the dispatcher.

"Yeah whatever works for you, Delilah."

Delilah squinted her eyes trying to see the letters ontop of the restaurant. "Uhm...H I B A C H I?" She question. The lady knew what she was trying to say.

"Help is on the way. Delilah I need you to be brave and go sit by your daddy's side, can you do that?"

Delilah nodded her head yes even though the lady couldn't see her. When she got closer to Messiah's body she cried harder. "I need you to look at his chest, is he breathing?" "Chest?" The innocent little girl said.
