It was a time of civil war. Brave men and women were fighting against the Galactic Empire which was declared by the former Supreme Chancellor, now Emperor Palpatine at the end of the Clone Wars. But there were also those who benefited from the raging conflict.
Nomi Darklighter and her partner Tarik were some of those; being smugglers they broke Imperial law on and on. Other than her cousin Biggs the young woman didn't care for either side, as long as they got enough credits for their contraband and were able to avoid Imperial patrol ships.
But then the day came where this changed. The day when Nomi learned that her cousin Biggs was killed in action during the Battle of Yavin.
