My sleep was interrupted by an explosion.
"Oh, no..."
I got up and ran out of the room.
"Yo, what the hell is going on?" Diego yelled.
"Are those explosions coming f—" Klaus started.
"Vanya," Pogo said, "we need to get to safety outside the academy."
Diego picked me up and started running with Klaus following.
"Don't forget mom!" Luther yelled.
We ran to the spot mom usually sits at, "Mom!"
"Where is she?" Diego asked as we continued running on the balcony.
"Mom!" Klaus yelled.
"Mom!" I yelled.
Another explosion caused the academy to shake. Pieces of tile from the ceiling fall on us. Diego stumbles and drops me. I get out of the way before he falls.
"Diego, Klaus!" I yelled.
Klaus slowly sat up.
I heard something start cracking, so I looked up.
"Klaus..." I said.
He looked up, "shit..."
"Diego!" I yelled.
"Diego!" Klaus said shaking him.
Out of nowhere, something pulls Klaus and Diego out of the way before the tile fell on them.
"Holy shit!" Klaus said.
"What the hell was that?" I asked.
"Believe it or not, it was Ben," Klaus said getting up.
My eyes widened, "Ben's here!"
"Yes, and I'm glad you believe me, but we have to go!" Klaus said, "Ben says he missed you."
"Aw, I missed him too," I said.
Klaus helped Diego up and we all ran out to the alley.
"Everyone okay?" Klaus asked.
"Hey, you just saved my life, man!" Diego said pulling Klaus into a hug.
"Okay, great!" Klaus said.
"Now this is something, I thought I'd never see!" I said.
"Mom?" Diego said pulling away from Klaus.
We all looked up to see mom waving at us from inside the academy.
"Mom!" we all yelled, "get out of there now!"
"I'm coming after you!" Diego yelled.
"Diego, no!" Klaus and I yelled as we pulled him back.
We watched the rest of the academy crumble to the ground. Klaus and Diego hugged me as I cried.
When it was clear we walked around to see if we could find everyone else.
"Mom!" Diego yelled as he dug through the rocks, "Klaus, Y/N, come here. Help me search!"
"Diego," Klaus said as he let me go and went over to him, "just stop it. Stop!"
He tried to help Diego up, but he kept slapping his hands away, "Let me go. What are you doing?"
"Stop. She's gone," Klaus said as he finally pulled Diego up.
I wiped away my tears.
"What do you wanna do? You wanna- wanna... w-walk away from this?" Diego stuttered.
