"Oh my gosh. I love this place!" Miracle can't help to exclaim when she roamed her eyes around the beautiful scenery.
"I told you, you'll love this place the moment you'll see it," nakangiting sagot ng asawa niya sa tabi bago siya halikan sa noo. She can't help but to giggle in happiness.
She tiptoed and kissed her husband's cheeks to say thank you. "I like it here. Especially that I'm with the most important person in my life."
"Is that me?" nanunudyong tanong ng lalaki.
Mabilis naman siyang tumango. "Sino pa ba? At saka masaya ako kasi kasama rin natin 'yung mga magulang at kaibigan ko. I want them to enjoy their lives and take a break for a moment. Alam mo naman na minsan lang magpahinga ang mga 'yan, lalo ka na."
Trigger nodded his head as he held her palm. "Thank you for worrying about me, Miracle."
She stared deeply at his eyes before smiling sincerely. "Ang drama natin. Nandito tayo para mag-enjoy hindi para mag-iyakan."
Her husband chuckled with her response.
"You're showing how much you loves me and I can't help to notice it. I'm sorry my love." Napahagikhik siya nang halikan siya nito nang mabilis sa labi. "Let's go, they're already in the restaurant. I'm sure you're also hungry."
"TITA Miracle!" Shanelle's kids welcomed Miracle in the restaurant with a big smile. Agad naman siyang napangiti nang dambahin siya ng yakap ng mga ito.
"Hello. Nakarating na pala kayo. Are you guys hungry?" malambing niyang tanong sa mga ito.
"Opo, kanina pa po namin kayo hinihintay kasi excited po kaming makita kayo."
She giggled with their response. Bumaling ang tingin niya sa kaibigan at sa asawa nito nang takbuhin ng mga bata ang direksyon nila. She immediately walked towards Shanelle who greeted her with a sweet smile.
"Bakit hindi na lang kayo sumabay sa amin ni Trigger? Kasya naman siguro tayo sa van, e," she said.
"Medyo nahuli kasi kami. Ang bagal kasi mag-ayos nitong asawa ko. Nagpapapogi pa yata sa akin," mayabang na sagot ni Shanelle na ikinatawa nilang lahat.
Miracle sat down when she felt Trigger's arm on her waist, gently gesturing her to sit down. Tumabi naman ito sa kaniya at ngayon ay katapat nila ang dalawang tao na kanina pa hinihintay ni Miracle.
She flashed a fake smile at the couple before kissing their cheeks. "Hi mom, dad, I miss you. Hindi ninyo na po ako binibisita sa bahay, nakakatampo kayo."
Benedict cleared his throat before letting out a laugh. "Pasensya ka na anak, your mom and I were too busy because of our company."
She nodded her head slowly before taking a glimpse of Trigger's expression. As usual, wala na naman ito sa mood tuwing kaharap ang mga magulang niya. She's still wondering what happened between Trigger, Benedict and Olivia. Alam niyang may rason kung bakit ganito umakto ang asawa niya.
"What happened in the company, by the way? I heard that you guys are having troubles about handling it." Pineke niya pa ang nag-aalalang boses nang sabihin ito.
Tumikhim si Benedict bago sumagot. "There are mild problems in the company right now. The investors pulled out their investments and we're having a hard time convincing them. That's why I wanted to talk to you also, anak. I hope you can help us about this."
Lihim siyang napangisi sa utak niya. Sabi na at manggagamit pa rin talaga ang magaling niyang ama.
Miracle was about to open her mouth to say something but it was Trigger who answered in behalf. Wala na siyang nagawa nang hawakan ng lalaki ang kamay niya.
"My wife is still stressed out about her condition so she won't be able to help you. I appreciate it if you'll stop bothering her about this issue. She's your daughter after all, right?" matigas na tanong ng lalaki.
Olivia and Benedict's faces paled with Trigger's response.
"I'm sorry about that, Trigger. Gusto lang naming malaman ang desisyon ni Miracle. Baka kapag ayos na siya, magka-interes siya sa kompanya--"
"She has her own gallery to handle and I'm sure that she's not interested in business. Right, baby?" Bumaling sa kaniya ang lalaki kaya mabilis naman siyang tumango.
"Yeah, dad. I'm really o-okay with the gallery. Mas interesado rin po talaga ako roon kasi pakiramdam ko po masyadong stressful ang trabaho ninyo nila Trigger," she answered back.
Olivia just flashed an awkward smile and didn't bother to say something again. Trigger just looked at Eric's direction.
"I have an upcoming project soon. I'm looking forward to working with you," he said.
Mabilis namang ngumiti ang asawa ni Shanelle dahil doon. "I'm looking forward to working with you again also, Trigger."
"Isama mo na kami ng mga bata kapag aalis ka, Eric. Lagi kaya akong pinagbubuntungan ng tampo ng mga bata kapag wala ka. Ayaw mo kaming isama sa ibang bansa kapag lumalayas ka," singit ni Shanelle na nakabusangot ang mukha.
They all chuckled with that, including Trigger who shook his head. "I'm sorry for taking your husband away from you. But I'll give you tickets also so you can live with him outside the country. The kids will surely like Greece."
Miracle smiled with Trigger's answer. Pero hindi pa rin naaalis sa isipan niya ang mga tanong na pumapasok sa utak niya.
Trigger and her parents used to be close. Ito-ito pa nga ang nanlalait sa kaniya kaya nagtataka siya kung bakit naputol 'yon. Her husband loathes her parents so much and it's a new thing.
"Excuse me. I'll just go to the bathroom, hon. You can order any food for me," she said before kissing Trigger's cheeks.
Ngumiti naman ito sa kaniya bago tumango.
She immediately entered the women's bathroom before dialing her private investigator's number.
Wala pang ilang segundo ay sumagot na rin agad ito.
"Miracle? What's wrong?"
"Can you look over Benedict and Olivia's record five years ago for me? Aside from handling the company, what happened to them?"
"I know you're going to ask me about this. I just found out about this one last night."
Kumunot ang noo niya sa pagtataka. "Why? What happened?"
Tumikhim ang kausap. "Trigger was the one who took care of their company for two years before them."
She raised her eyebrow. "What? And where's Benedict and Olivia that time?"
"They were in jail. For two years. And it was Trigger Knights who sent them inside the prison."
