"Winter looked tired," Ningning said, in the most goofy tone
Karina scoffed in disbelief, "You need your mind cleanse, Ning." She stifled a smile
Ningning peer at her through the rear view mirror, "I only said Winter looked tired, what were you thinking?" She had a teasing smile and both Karina and Giselle knew what that meant
Winter was sleeping soundly on Karina's shoulders at the back of Giselle's BMW, she's so drained and fragile that Karina had to tell her to rest for a few minutes
"Seriously what happened to our innocent Yizhuo eight months ago?" Karina whispered, too afraid to raise her voice for the reason that Winter might wake up
"Ningning, you have to stop hanging out with the wrong sorts of friends," Giselle sighed, she's too busy driving. She's just a newbie so she have to be focused and take precautions in driving
"What do you mean? Kai, Taehyun and Lia are treating me well," Ningning pouted as she crossed her arms and look outside the window of her tinted car
"They treat you right but they are too brutal and inappropriate when it comes to words, ugh I should sign up with the music club as well if that attitude of yours will continue," Giselle frowned
Ningning opposed of the idea, "You don't have to, besides we're grown ups, it's okay to joke around for a little while."
"Dirty jokes are something I didn't expect you to tell," Giselle looked frustrated and Karina is enjoying the view, they look like a couple fighting.
"Speaking of clubs, what are you taking Gigi?" Karina inquired
Giselle heave a deep sigh, "I don't want to join any clubs at the moment, how about you? and Winter?"
"I'm thinking of joining the dance club, as for Winter... I think my baby will only focus on studying." Karina glanced at the girl resting on her shoulders, she pokes her cheeks softly which made her giggle
"Yeah, civil engineering is a hard path, she looks really worn out eversince the semester started," Giselle clicked her tounge, she seemed to be bothered on something. Karina figured she'll ask her later.
"I think you'll fit well in the dance club, you have my support, Rina." Ningning gave her a thumbs up, the girl felt warm when she called her by her nickname which she rarely hear
"We've arrived," Giselle announced, she dropped them off the lobby while she parked her car at the parking lot
Winter yawned, "It smells luxurious here," She commented with a small smile
"Aw my baby is still sleepy, come on I'll carry you." Karina squatted infront of her to give her a piggy backride
Winter wanted to conflict but because her girl looked excited she just let her be.
She rested her head sideways on her back as she shut her eyes close, trusting Karina to safely place her in her bed
Karina huffed soon as they reached their floor, Winter chortled as she wholeheartedly get off her back
"Am I heavy?" Winter softly planted a kiss on her bridge nose as a sign of gratitude, she then followed Ningning who entered their room
Karina chased her breath until Giselle caught up to her.
"What're you doing?"
"Aeri~ I'm tired!" Karina pinned herself on Giselle, it was so sudden that they both lost their balance, they stumbled upon one another
They cackled at each other that Ningning and Winter had to come back and stop them because they might wake up the other tenants.
"Where's your room love?" Winter wrapped her arms around Karina's small waist as she rested her head on her chest
"I want to tear my eyeballs!" Ningning commented at the sight, she then ran towards the living room where she saw a huge ass television
"Let's eat first before you go to sleep," Karina patted her head softly
Winter felt sleepy, she always loved it whenever Karina plays with her hair. It makes her feel warm and safe.
"I'm not sleeping, I have a bunch of problem sets to finish," Winter walked towards Ningning who already had foods in her hand. She snatched it away from her which made the girl pout
"Baby, you're here to rest. Just this night then you can go back to studying tomorrow," Karina followed, she now then played with her ears
Winter is unbothered but she still agreed to what she said.
"Okay, can I go to your room now?" She stood up and Karina followed
"Hey, no noise okay? Do it quietly," Ningning deadpanned, Giselle frustratedly sigh as she took one of the cushions on the couch where Ningning was and threw it at her face
Karina giggled, she then took Winter's hand and brought her to her room. Although she used to sleep with Giselle, she trained herself to sleep alone.
"Your room is empty, why?" The first question that slips on Winter's mouth, she put the puppy plushie on Karina's side table so that when she starts studying she can look at it and regain her energy fast
"I don't know," Karina pulled her causing them to fall into her soft bed
Winter felt her body relaxed by the soft foam while Karina slowly approached her to hug the latter.
They cuddled in bed with complete silence.
"Love," Karina called in a hoarse voice
Winter hummed.
"If we ever live in one roof, do you want us to take care of puppies or cats?" Karina's voice was muffled because she's burying her face on the side of Winter's neck
It was ticklish but of course Winter just let her be.
"I want to see our puppy and kitty grow together, it doesn't matter. I want them both." Winter giggled
Karina inhaled deeply to smell the lingering scent on Winter's neck. She quickly made space between them after.
"Why?" Winter asked when she noticed how quick she reacted
"I may not be able to stop myself and give you a love bite," Karina stood up as she brushed her fingers through her hair.
"What do you want to eat?" She fixed her clothes while Winter remained lying on the bed
"You." She deadpanned
Karina's eyes grew darker but Winter was quick enough to take back what she said.
"I'm kidding love, I'll go with what you want," Winter rolled around her bed
Karina sighed, "What a tease," she whispered before she closed the door of her room, leaving the bold Winter behind.
