YMM FINALE
Sam pov :
The day was finally here , we were going to perform our album songs live and witness the audiences' reaction for the first time , I was so excited to perform for the people it's always a pleasure but this time it was different, we were performing our independent songs , I was nervous! What if they didn't like it? But all of the doubt faded away as I looked around to see my brats band , my family and my girl! Anything what we do together , will never go in vain! I didn't realise how I had zoned out until Pradeep hit me on the head , asking me to get ready and so I did with a chuckle because I saw Siv asking Sri to redo her liner , my kolanthai , she is so cute !
Siv pov :
After our vocal warm ups before our gig ,we all went to get ready! I FaceTimed Amma, Vinu and ammachi once before changing into my outfit to take blessings and assured them I was doing well ! They have been paranoid lately also concern on my health !
As I was doing my makeup , I somehow messed up my eyeliner and asked Sri to fix it since she was much more experienced in these things! I caught a glimpse of Sam giggling at me before he proceeded to set his hair and change his outfit!
It felt quite surreal to be performing infront of so many people that too our own music , this performance also even more special because I am performing with my boyfriend Sam now and my friends who have grown to become more like family.
We all finished getting ready and stood as a group in front of the mirror .
Pradeep : wow we all look damn good !
David : yeah especially you girls , stunning !
Sri : you guys look nothing less!
Pradeep : okay I am going to go meet my girlfriend before the performance and come back quickly !
David : me too !
Gowtham : Sri and I are going outside for sometime too!
Sam pov :
Finally it was siv and I alone , I went and hugged her tightly and moved back abit to only admire her Beauty
Sam : my Dora , day by day you're becoming more and more beautiful! I don't know how am I going to protect you from the evil eyes in the crowd today !
Siv : my Bujji also not less , Greek God only you are !
Sam : seri , are you not tensed?
Siv : I was but not anymore , you calm me Sam , you reassure my faith in myself and make me the best version of myself so to perform with you is my blessing and I have nothing to worry about because I know I always have your hand to hold if anything goes wrong!
Sam : you're perfect the way you are ! Also can I expect a good luck kiss and all??
Siv : aiyoo , you won't leave me to go on stage without blushing like a tomato, Kd!
Siv quickly pecks his lips and tries to run outside but his hands pull her back into his embrace , Sam places a long kiss on her forehead and murmurs an i love you !
Siv hugs him back tighter and let her heart beat sync to his! He was her fairy tale , he was her man , best friend and most importantly he was her music!
Everyone is back in the green room and share a group hug , wishing each other luck and reassuring their faith in music! Mani and Manasa watched from the entrance of the room for a while before joining the hug!
Mani : ayooo naan illamaya , I am coming !! Manasa , you also come off!
Sam : okay guys this is it , I am so proud of us and I can't wait to perform with you guys on stage ! They'll call us to the stage in a few seconds so all of you remember the stars you deserve to be and kill it there
Siv pov :
I don't understand how Sam being so matured and always knows the best things to say to people when they're anxious , he was so good at it naturally !
Pradeep : yess guys let's set the stage on fire!
Goutham : yasss machaa
David : okay guys brats band on fire let's gooo!!
We all went on stage after that , there was a brief introduction but from the minute we placed our feet on the stage , the audience didn't stop cheering! I was so overwhelmed, almost teared up and looked to my side , Sam smiled at me and gripped my hand tighter which I didn't realise I was holding until then . I was ready!
Sam pov :
We started our performances and the crowd went crazy , the energy was electrifying ! This is everything I'd ever dreamt of since I was a kid , independent music which was only dream till a month ago is now in reality, the love we've gotten from my Makkal has been fantastic and when it came to perform with Siv, a soothing melody the audience that was cheering louder than ever suddenly dropped to silence ! When we done it was not just mine or siv's eyes that were moist but the entire audiences'! I felt so blessed that the audience could resonate with the pain suffering in the melody , thinking about how far we've come and what we've been to , I just thanked God one more time.
Siv pov :
Our performance felt like a roller coaster of emotions and it was the best , it was more than my wildest imaginations, I didn't know if I deserved any of this but this was our time to prove ourselves and we sure did ! After our final performance we thanked the audience and performed a few fans favourite songs and then we went to backstage.
Pradeep : you guys we killed it out there!
David : it was epic , especially seeing Mani's reaction sitting in front row along with Manasa , it was amazing!
Goutham : I am so proud of us , all of our hard work finally paid off! We were meant to be stars and nothing can hold us back , this is just the beginning !
Sri : rightly said my love !
Pradeep : ayo already arambichuteengala , take it elsewhere pahh!
David : onukku yean eriyuthu , we'll go get our girlfriends come!
I listened to my friends banter as I was leaning on Sam , my comfort !
Sam : Let's go to my house first, all of you can relax over there , we've all had a big day today!
As we were driving back in our van , we all FaceTimed our parents one by one telling them how fabulous it was and they all gave us their blessings! When I FaceTimed ammachi , somehow Sam was more excited than me and spoke to her for 10 mins without even taking a breath! I loved the bond he had with each of my family members, sometimes I wonder if he had always yearned for this kind of love from an elderly person , it's like God intended us to meet to complete each other , we fit together like two puzzle pieces.
Sam pov :
By the time I finished talking to ammachi , which somehow made me so happy telling her about my experience and to hear how proud she was of us made me elated, we were already nearing the gate to my house ! It was quite late in the night but Amma and appa were still waiting for us!
Sam : mom , dad, we did it..it was the best night of our lives !
Lata aunty : obviously kanna, my children deserve nothing less! First unga yellarkum suthi podanum!
Pradeep : for me and all twice suthi podanum ,obviously everyone's eyes were on me !
Sam : dai!
Mani : you wish !!
Pradeep : Ada pavingala
Ranjan uncle : so shall we celebrate
Sam : dad can we celebrate a bit later , I thought since we're all tired , we could just relax by the beach tonight and tomorrow pakka we can do something big!
Uncle : of course son , okay then your mom and I will leave you guys to it! Goodnight all of you
Siv pov :
We all quickly changed into comfy clothes and refreshed ourselves and walked to the beach after bidding Sam's parents goodbye
As we sat by the Beach , to my right was Sam , then Pradeep Anna Manasa and to my left Sri gowtham, opposite to us was David and mani .
We all reminisced on our ups and downs and heard the boys' childhood shenanigans! I have never laughed so much ! These boys have literally grown up together and are each others biggest strengths! Now that we girls have found a place on their world , it's the best!
Pradeep : siv , what's your most memorable incident from your childhood days?
Siv : ayoo Anna , I don't remember anything specific like that but the day I met Sam was quite memorable in the backyards of my Nagercoil house!
Goutham : Pahhh , mudiyalee!
David : nothing funny you remember or what ?
Sam : Wait I know , Siv tell them about how you used to eat non veg till you stopped after you saw few chickens being carried in the back of a vehicle!
Siv : dai , loosu!
Pradeep : what , siv used to eat non veg ahh?
Sam : Sorry di but for that , loosunu sollitiye!
Mani : ayayo , what a miracle !
Sri : Ithu enakke theriyathe what is this siv!
Siv : you guys , if anyone gets to know about this outside our circle I will actually kill you guys!
David : yaru nee ya? Silly girl
Pradeep : illa da , she is my thangachi you never know what she is capable of!
Sam : yeah I know !
Goutham : hmm okay okay but still so funny!
Sam pov :
We laughed our hearts out and exchanged our childhood stories! I was laughing so hard my cheeks started to hurt and that's when my phone buzzed , I was curious because it was so late in the night but I was so relieved to find Paru's name on the notification
Siv : Sameiii what are you smiling for , looking at your phone
Sam : illa di , Paru just texted us praising our performance , she saw few videos online it seems and she said all of us were brilliant !
Pradeep : wah re wah!
Gowtham : Semma !
Siv : oh nice nice!
I am so glad I can keep in touch with Paru , she is like the elder sister I never had. I texted her back and said I'll call her sometime before I got back to my friends!
David : okay I am going to sleep guys , I am very tired!
Mani : all of us should , then only we can celebrate properly tomorrow
Pradeep : yeah yeah , I've heard lack of sleep makes you lose appetite! what if I can't eat properly tomorrow ? no no , I'll go sleep !
Sri : aiyooo
Siv : Always soru thaan mukhiyam! But I'll stay back for some more time not yet sleepy!
Pradeep : my thangachi is never wrong ! Okay bye ma , good night
Sri and gowtham wished all of us goodnight and left , so did David and mani !
The girls were going to sleep in Sam's room as usual and the boys in the guest bedrooms
Sam : okay you also go now , I'll sit back with Siv and will be back after sometime
Pradeep : to romance with my sister , you're shooing me away now?
Manasa : let them be , Paavam kolanthais !
Sam hi - fives Manasa
Pradeep : yaru , Sam ahh? Okay something you're telling and I am actually sleepy so let's go ! Neenga nadathunga nadathunga!
Sam : seri go go , good night!
Siv : bye Anna , sleep well ! You too Manasa!
Sam pov :
I pull siv closer to me almost hugging her from the side.
Sam : hi girlfriend !
Siv : wow it still feels so unreal that we actually found our way to each other and I can call you my boyfriend . Seri tell me , how do you feel now ?
Sam : hmmm I feel content! I have you by my side , my dream of independent music is now a reality , my friends are all safe and happy, I found new family in yours and above all Amma and appa are also proud of what I've done so there's nothing I need more! Thanks to you , if it weren't for you I don't think I would've even made it to our performance in the competition that got us this and then very step of the way for reassuring me and accepting my love ! And I am sorry you had to go through so much because of me , I promise to never let bad things come near your hereafter!
Siv pov :
As Sam was speaking I couldn't control my tears , as soon as he finished , he slowly wiped the tears from cheek and placed a kiss on my cheek!
I was longing for more , I couldn't find words to express myself my heart was beating fast and I just pulled him holding his shirt and kissed him long and hard! It was my way of telling him how much he meant to me , how I found comfort in him like no other and how no matter what I'd always be by his side till the end of time! We pulled back as we were breathless and he just smiled at me letting me know he understood what it meant!
Siv : Sam , I can't possibly put into words that what you mean to me ! I promise you that you'll always have me because you made me believe in myself , you made me believe that I could also have a fairytale life and what love really means !
We are still so young and have a long way to go , but I know if it's meant to be we'll figure it out!no matter what life throws at us , we'll face it together and we'll cherish every moment together! I still have so much to tell you but for now I love you !
Sam : I love you ! you never fail to surprise me with how you can go from being my Dora papa to my matured women so gracefully ! You always make me feel so lucky!
I place my head on his chest and just hold onto him tight! His heartbeat , the waves and him humming our favourite songs , maybe this is what heaven feels like! Slowly
I just drifted to sleep in his arms!
Sam pov:
My siv , sleeping so calmly in my arms but it was getting cold so I carried her inside and placed her on the bed and wrapped her in a warm blanket! She holds my hand and murmurs something in her sleep
Siv : Sam , you know something , You're my music!
I place a peck on her forehead and go to sleep peacefully knowing everyone around me safe and now we have each other to protect ourselves!
