Nanginginig ang mga binti ko habang papalapit kina Claire. Patrick's warm and firm hand is still clinging to my right hand. I felt my feet slowly getting damp due to anxiety and consciousness. When I got nearer to their table, I smelled an expensive perfume mixed with a strong and minty scent of a cigarette. A very strong scent of whisky is also very present and by the look and smell of it all, they have been drinking since the heavens know when.

I plastered a forced smile when I finally reached Claire. She was not with Jessa nor Nate. Her circle is a whole different group of people. I felt more out of the place but knowing that Patrick is with me, it somehow calmed me down.

"Oh my gosh! You look so gorg!" Claire exclaimed. My lips shivered as I continue to fake my smile. I tried so hard not to make my eyes wander around. Especially to my right side where Tyson is sitting with his new flavor of the week.

"Thank you. We just had our acquaintance party." Sabi ko. I held tightly to my small black purse in my left hand. My right hand is still occupied with Patrick's. Nilingon ko siya upang ngitian at ipaalam rin kay Claire na kasama ko si Patrick. I know she saw the kiss earlier.

"Oh! After party? Great club of choice!" She giggled. She's wearing a red floral dress and I wonder how she got into Tyson's circle of friends? Hindi naman daw sila close ni Tyson pero magkakilala naman daw. Bakit ngayon biglang narito siya? Well, they're all Atenistas and it's really not impossible at all.

"Yeah. Sumama lang ako sakanila, actually. By the way, this is Patrick Samaniego." I formally introduced Patrick to Claire. She cheerfully offered her hand. They shook hands and I unintentionally had a glimpse on Tyson's face. He was watching me with his dark eyes. My heart jumped an inch and my thoughts went wild at what I saw. Ayoko ng mag assume! Tama na! Walang ibang hinatid sakin kundi sakit. And for all I know he's just pissed for he might be thinking that I am pestering and following him again! Well, I'm not!

"Shet, Aps! Bagay kayo!" Tumalon-talon si Claire dahilan upang maagaw ang atensyon ko. I chuckled as I felt my cheeks burned. Lumingkis ang kaliwang braso ni Patrick sa beywang ko at mas lalong nag-histerya si Claire.

"Alam ba ito ni Apollo? Kung hindi, support ako diyan! Guys!" She called her friends who were silently drinking on their sofa. Medyo lasing na kung titingnan ang mga ito. Pinaghalong mga babae at lalaki. I did not see someone from the rainbow community.

"This is Apollo's sister! Ang ganda, no? Lumalandi na! Mementorin ko ito." Tumawa si Claire at tila nag-yayabang pa. I cringe at that. Sus, pasalamat ka at hindi akma sa lugar natin ngayon para okrayin kita. Panget nito!

"Baby girl." Sabi nung magandang babae. I smiled at her.

"Pa inumin mo, Claire." Sabi nung majubis na lalaking may bigote. Sumunod naman ang chararat at ang bilis naka-pulot ng dalawang shot glass.

"Bottoms up!" She cheered. Humiyaw naman ang iilan sa mga kaibigan niya. Itinawa ko na lamang ang hiya at tinanggap ang baso. Ibinigay ko kay Patrick ang isa at sabay kaming uminom.

"Fuck, ang tapang." Patrick murmured and just when I'm about to agree, he covered my mouth with his wet one. It was just quick but enough for the people to see and go crazy about! Damn you, Patrick!

"That's my girl!" Lasing na hiyaw ni Claire. Makulit at madilim pa rin ang mga ilaw. Mas lalo akong namamatay sa pag-iisip kung ilang mga mata ang nanunuod sa amin ngayon sa likod ng kadiliman. I really cannot see everyone.

I felt Patrick's lips went closer to my right ear and whispered.

"Let's go, love. They're waiting."

I nodded and looked at Claire's eyes. I pointed to our sofa not very far from theirs and smiled. She nodded back.

"Sure, sure! Gagala ako roon mamaya." Aniya at mabilis ding naagaw ng kasama niya ang atensyon niya. Tumalikod at umalis na agad kami ni Patrick. Matulin lang ang paningin ko habang umaalis doon, sinisigurado na hindi na maligaw pa ang mga mata ko sa kung saan saan.
