Statehouse stuff again

Adding on to Ala and Mississippi's backstory-

TW: This brings up the uhh... Forced naughty stuff, slavery, emotional and physical abuse, and Suicide is mentioned. Feel free to skip this if it makes you uncomfy.

So.

Their Mother was actually a house slave, she had dark brown hair and blue eyes. Ima call her Elizabeth-
She had a light caramel kinda skin tone.

Their father, who is now William, fell head over heels for her. So the man kept trying his shot with her and not really succeeding. Till eventually he got sick of it and started demanding her almost every night to stay with him in his room. Sometimes he'd put his hands on her and sometimes not. She eventually started tolerating him, and instead of him calling her she'd go in his room willingly. Asking if he needed anything before she'd leave.

Eventually, Elizabeth did get pregnant with the twins, ya know Alabama and Mississippi. But unfortunately died in his birth. Before that, Elizabeth made William promise that any kid she had by him would be born free. And that he would give them freedom.

After her passing, the man blamed the twins. And he did give them freedom, and since they looked "white-passing" he managed to get them in good schools. But grief and stress eventually took over the common sense and his love for them.

So that's when he threw them out. He did go out to look for them later because he assumed that they never really left him.

But that was the last time either saw each other. Alabama still wonders what happened to his father sometimes, which I can tell you now, he killed himself. William couldn't handle the loss of his sons and wife. Yeah sure he hit and yelled at them a ton but that's what his parents did to him so he thought that was ok. (And no it is not-)

Mississippi and Alabama did get better from that tho. And Mississippi likes bragging about how he's the 20th state and Alabama came later. Which Alabama still hates to this day, and he'd have to remind him Alabama is older by 30 minutes.

(Forgot to mention they were never told their mom was a slave. They were told she died in child birth. Nothing else after that.)
