A man in his mid-twenties entered inside the bungalow, he had the backpack on his right shoulder which he was holding in his hand. He was wearing a black full-sleeved t-shirt with a blue-washed pair of jeans. He had a lean body but a muscular figure.

He entered the living room and greeted loudly in his deep and manly voice letting the people of this house know about his presence.

"As salamu Alaikum!" He said and a woman in her mid-forties came out from the kitchen. She smiled widely seeing her firstborn in front of her eyes. Her eyes filled up with unshed tears.

"Sabur!" She exclaimed loudly while going towards him and she embraced him in her motherly warmth. He smiled in her embrace.

"Tum to agle hafte aane wale the na?" She asked him coming out from the embrace. (You were about to come next week, right?)

"Ha par me jaldi aa gaya!" He said and gave her a small smile.

(Yes, but I came early!)

"Okay, now go freshen up and come for breakfast. I was making Aaloo paratha only." She said on which he nodded his head and went to his room.

He entered the room and sat down on his bed. His hands involuntarily went to the drawer of his bedside table, where he found the thing he was trying to ignore for years. Or more precisely the owner of that thing, it was a small scarf of a girl.

His Girl! His subconscious said but he shook his head because now he is no longer able to behold that title. He lost it, He lost Her.

He yet again wrapped that scarf around his wrist, he caressed the material so gently as if it would break if he would apply a little more pressure to it. He vividly remembers the day when he met her for the first time, the first time when his heart skipped a beat seeing her.

Flashback:

He was standing at the campus on his first day of final year, he was talking to his friends when he heard the distinct voice of a boy's wolf whistle, he turned to look at the person and college's bad boy Aryan was there stopping a girl's way.

He couldn't properly see the face of that girl, but her raven hairs were floating in the air which were tied in a high ponytail. Her sling bag was hunched on her right shoulder, her neck ducked down.

"Oh, fresher girl! What's your name baby?" Aryan asked the girl who was looking nervous due to her body language and he couldn't hold back as he rushed in front of the girl.

"Back off Aryan!" He spoke in a stern voice causing that boy to cower back but he concealed his expressions and made a mock feared expression on his face.

"Oooohh... I got sacred!" He said and his friends around snickered but the stern look on Sabur's face didn't lessen even a bit and now it precisely started to make Aryan fear him.

He knew about his temper, everyone knew in fact that no one messes with Sabur Qureshi, he always minds his business but he doesn't know why Sabur is intervening in between his matters today. But the reality was that even Sabur doesn't know why he is standing in front of an unknown girl but he felt compelled to do so!

Aryan when saw that Sabur's features were darkening in anger he tried to smash the cola's tin on his face but he stopped his act by protecting his face with his hand causing the tin to hit his knuckles. Aryan ran away the next moment, not daring to stay a second longer.

Sabur sighed heavily and jerked his palm to diminish the pain in his knuckles, that Jaanwar (animal) struck very harshly. He turned around to see the reason for this blow and instead of getting angry, his mind was blown away seeing the girl in front of him.
