Hermione sighed and rubbed her the nape of her neck
"No, I wasn't home, I was in London" she said for the millionth time
"And who was in in change?"
"Miriam Gonzales" Hermione sighed
The cop eyed her and she would rather be with her son and—
She stopped her mind from wandering, her priority was Scorpius
And she would like to be with just her son
This went on for a few more hours
"Can I call my son?" Hermione asked
The cop looked at her
"Go ahead"
Hermione pulled out her phone and dialled Draco's number
"Granger?"
"Hi Malfoy" Hermione sighed "I know it's late but can I speak to Scorpius?" She asked
There were ruffling sounds on the phone before it stopped
"Mummy?"
"Hi baby" Hermione smiled
"Mummy when are you coming home?"
Hermione sighed and rubbed her temple
"Mummy may be here for a while longer, how is it being at Draco's?" She asked
"He's teaching me how to fly a broom"
Hermione paled
She had some very not nice words where Draco could shove the broom but since she was with a muggle officer, she had to bite her tongue
"Really?" She forced out
"Yes! He says that I have the talent to be a seeker—"
"Times up" the officer ordered
"—And he said that I will be a good Slytherin—"
Hermione laughed humourlessly
"Tell him to keep dreaming" she giggled
Scorpius giggled
Hermione sighed softly
"Mummy has to go" she said
"No mummy, I don't want you to go, I miss you" Scorpius began crying
Hermione's eyes welled up
"I miss you too my koala, I'll be home to you as soon as possible I promise, tell Draco and Teddy I say hi" she said
"I love you mummy"
"I love you too baby"
She hung up and her lower lip quivered
"So—"
Hermione started crying and covered her face
"I'm sorry" she cried softly
The officer got uncomfortable
"Erm...I think we have enough questions"
Hermione started sobbing and hugged her body
"I-I'm sorry" she sobbed "I-I-It's the f-first t-time me and m-my son a-are apart..." Hermione started talking incoherently
The officer cleared their throat and closed the case file
"I think we have everything we need"
Hermione grabbed a piece of tissue paper and left the questioning room, she made her way to her flat
