"Where's the wedding again?" Jeff asks as I walk towards him. I was with him, Brandon, and Melissa getting something to eat before I go to my interview, which is in an hour.
"In L.A. on the 5th," I tell him as we walk down the street and into Five Guys. Melissa did a mobile order, so we just had to wait a couple of minutes until it got ready.
"Hi, we had an online order, it should be under Melissa," Melissa says to the cashier and he nods, then grabs our order from the counter behind him and handing it to Melissa.
"Thank you," She says and walks off to a table and making sure that our food was correct, then we walked out of Five Guys and into our truck.
"Genesis, make sure that you don't get any of that ketchup on your sweatshirt this time," Melissa says causing me to roll my eyes.
"I know how to eat Melissa. That was a one-time accident," I mumble, then say a prayer to myself before eating.
We arrived back in New York two weeks ago. I had an interview with Sway a week ago and that's the accident Melissa was referring to.
"Ooo, you're gonna get in trouble," Brandon said while pointing to the ketchup that just dropped on my sweatshirt. I quickly scooped the ketchup up off and wet the paper towel and placed it on the stain.
"Shut up," I whispered yelled, causing him to laugh. We were on our way to Sway's building. We made a quick detour to Chick-fil-a, but they didn't have any chick-fil-a sauce nor Polynesian sauce because they've been having sauce shortages so I settled for ketchup, money mustard, and honey roasted barbecue.
"It's not that bad," I said while removing the napkin from my sweatshirt and getting a new one, then wetting it and putting it on the stain. Jeff and Melissa walked up to the car after going to the bathroom. They both got in the backseat because I called shotgun.
"Genesis here's your cup of ice," She said while handing me my cup. I turned around and tried to hide the stain at the bottom of my sweatshirt.
"Genesis, move your hand," She said as Brandon pulled out from Chick-fil-a. When she said that Jeff looked up from his phone and Brandon started laughing under his breath.
"I'm gonna tell you straight up, I spilled some ketchup on the bottom of my sweatshirt, but it's fine. I didn't rub it, I patted it," I told her and she shook her head causing me to smile at her sheepishly. We sat in silence for the rest of the ride, until we got to Sway's building.
"Can you pass me my water please?" I asked Jeff and he handed my water from the back to me. We parked in the parking garage and quickly got on the elevator and pressed the floor that the interview studio was in.
